I really want love this ’cause it’s very pleasant cleansing oil and does its job perfectly. I love how my skin feels after using this. But unfotunately it caused me horrible breakouts on my chin after a week of using it. I’m prone to breakouts and this product is really nightmare for me. It contains lot of acne fungal triggers e.g. cetearyl olivate, sucrose laurate, sucrose palmitate, linalool, borago seed oil… so sadly not for me. Be careful if you have combination sensitive skin prone to breakouts.

A very gentle cleanser, great for dry skin. I use it as a 2nd cleanser only at night before I go to sleep. And I think it really does make my skin glow and it has lots of vitamins to benefit my skin in the evening. Easy to wash off.

This cleanser just blew all my other cleansers off the shelf – literally.
I love everything about it and have been using it for over a month, so its had time to show me benefits or otherwise. It has a slight fragrance which is pleasant without being overwhelming, cleanses really well and leaves my skin feeling soft and velvety. There is really nothing bad I can say about it except that if you are the type of person who wears a lot of make-up, you might need a double cleanse. I’m very minimal with make-up, so one pump of this melted into my skin and rinsed off with cold water is perfect.
I’ve found my perfect non-oil cleanser 🙂

I am so so disappointed with this! Firstly it it is super expensive & secondly it has lots of rave reviews so I expected amazing things. Sadly from the first use my face didn’t feel that great & over the next few days my face broke out and I also got lots of red bumps under the surface of my skin. Since I have stoped using this, my face has started to clear up. I wish I had never bought this as I feel I have wasted my money

This was my first oil cleanser and I fell in love with it. I can’t comment on makeup removal as I rarely use makeup but it does make a very good job at removing th daily dirt and sunscreen. I use it as my 1st step on double cleansing at night. It’s a peasure to use and it doesn’t leave any film after removing it with a hot cloth, it smells great and has been contributing to the health of my skin. There are cleansing balms I want to try but I would and will certainly repurchase this at some point because I can trust it. The only downside for me is the fact that you can’t see when it will end because the package is white and opaque, although pretty. It’s expensive but I like what it did for my skin.

I purchased this as I was able to get it for a slighted discounted price and decided to bite the bullet. I loved it instantly! It melts on to the face almost instantly and removed all my makeup without leaving it stripped. I have dry skin and therefore do not get along well with foaming cleaners so gel or balm cleaners are my preference. This ticks all the boxes for me and leaves me skin plumped and hydrated. I usually remove eye makeup with an oil or micellar water so cannot comment on how well this would remove water proof mascara. I’m on my second bottle and have a back up as I never wanna be without this stuff. Honestly it’s dry skins best friend.
The only issue I have is the packaging as you can’t see when you’re running low and it’s also pricey but for me I don’t mind spending a little more in skincare especially when it’s holy grail like this!

I said I would buy this again because i’m considering it despite the fact that when I finished it up I was like “well that isn’t going to be a staple for me”. I don’t like to buy a million different products, I like one to do it all, but lately i’ve moved away from that approach and started to appreciate these kinds of cleansers as kind of mini flash treatments – a little “me time” in the morning or something like that.
What this is good for: Facial massage, a lovely treat, a second cleanse, helping with a skin brightening regime (although honestly on its own I didn’t notice a lot of difference).
What it’s not good for: Taking off all your makeup (this isn’t Moringa Balm which i sort of hoped for).
This is a massively hyped cleanser and I can see why because it has this beautiful pink/coral gel, a beautiful scent, lots of slip and beautiful packaging. If I bought it again it’d be for morning use when I had no makeup on. I greatly enjoyed using it when I had it but I wasn’t desperate when I ran out, unlike the Perfect Cleanser which is the lesser hyped yet in my opinion much more effective sister of this product.
Packaging is really nice, great for travel, really sturdy and pretty but the only downside is that you don’t know when it’s going to run out – and when it happens it happens rather abruptly so if you love it and can’t be without it, you’ll need a backup in place at all times.
I would recommend this for all skins as it emulsifies when rinsed and is very gentle. Beautiful product.

This cleanser is a STAPLE in my cabinet.
I get complimented on my ‘glowing’ skin almost every day and I guarantee it is a result of using this cleanser.
I use it every morning and it is wonderfully refreshing.
It is effectively exfoliating without stripping the skin.
My combination skin looooves the product and it hasn’t been the cause of any breakouts.
Price may seem steep, but the compliments on my skin make it worthwhile.
Plus, the packaging is brilliant. Pump dispenser delivers the right amount of product and is extremely ergonomic and hygienic.
A really great product!!

I’m not liking it at first. I’m combo-oily clogged & acne prone skin. Just a mere eyebrow pencil can cause acne on me.
Everything about scent & texture stated on other reviewers are true. Sheer orangey gel to oil with leather-y rose scent. I find rose scent is pleasing & relaxing. I like the scent.
I use this as morning cleanser. On my first 2weeks, I massage this on dry face, emulsify it with warm water then splash my face with warm water followed by cold water afterwards. It leaves filmsy residue. I removed it with acid toner on cotton rounds. My skin not liking it and it clogged my pores. I have whiteheads on my cheeks & 2-3 milias near my nose.
Then I found a method to make this Renaissance Gel works:
1. Massage 2pumps on face, neck, back of neck (I use youtubers GDiipa massage technique)
2. Put warm washcloth on face. Pat your face & let it slightly cool (about 10-15 seconds) then wipe your face lightly. Use the other side to repeat wiping your face.
3. Clean the washcloth then repeat with neck & back of neck area
4. Splash 2 times with “room temp water” followed by cold/iced water (or wipe some ice cube folded in washcloth)
5. Clean the washcloth with mild soap (I use Dove liquid soap)
6. Continue your morning regime. Mine was:
– thermal spray/serozinc
– hydrating toner
– face oil
– pat a pea sized of moisturizer (something like effaclar duo/cleanance expert)
– serozinc again (let it air dry)
– SPF (only when I go out. Let it dry. Continue with makeup)
I don’t use acid toner on my morning anymore because I already exfoliate using washcloth and I don’t want to overexfoliate. Now I have satiny face throughout the day..
I like this cleanser with my new routine. Non drying, nourishing, looks plumping, and softening my drier areas (maybe the washcloth?)
I’d like to repurchase if money wasn’t an issue 🙂

Not for clogged pore prone skin?
My skin type is sensitive combination, and I suffered from acne from age of 11-23. Now at 26 with mostly clear skin, the odd breakout and becoming conscious of fine lines, I decided I wanted to switch out my skin care routine. I had thoughts about buying this for probably a year before doing so and a podcast featuring the owner and founder of Oskia encouraged me to order the Renaissance cleansing gel.
I used it for roughly 5-6 weeks, with a muslin cloth both morning & night. Overall, the surface of my skin was brighter, no dry patches and it decreased the appearance of fine lines around my eyes and on forehead. However, I started getting large spots and cysts particularly around the outside of my cheeks. They gradually built up and I stopped using the product because of this. My skin clogs very easily and I as soon as I stopped using the product the spots went.
I’ve given this 2 lippies as the overall texture/condition of my skin improved and I can really see why if you had normal or dry skin you would love this – just a warning to those who are acne prone/ clogged pore prone!
