I think this product has been recently reformulated, because it doesn’t contain gentle microbeads. That’s good, because microbeads are terrible for the environment. But, unfortunately, Olay is now including some kind of awful, sharp, tiny shards of pain.
Random, uneven, tiny scrapes are no way to exfoliate.
Otherwise, the cleanser is great. So great that I might persevere and use up the tube. It washed my silicone-based, waterproof sunscreen off more easily than anything else I’ve tried (including micellar water), and rinsed off pretty easily, except for those awful, tiny cutty things.
Ugh.

I have dull, oily skin prone to break outs and this cleanser has helped me with this. It’s not too creamy or too foaming and takes all my Bare Minerals makeup off easily. Would highly recommend giving this a good go!
Edit: 30/4/17 this product unfortunately made my skin break out ( as most Olay products it seems )

One of my favorite face washes. No breakouts, no sensitive reactions, doesn’t over-dry my skin, gets all my makeup off. Can’t say I noticed a luminous effect, but I’ve had dull skin for years, so I don’t expect that to change in the course of one bottle. Will definitely rebuy.

This is a cream cleanser with small microbeads that gently exfoliate dead skin cells and is supposed to leave your complexion brighter, which is ad speak for more even toned.
What I found after one use was it didn’t dry my sensitive skin nor irritate it. It did leave it smooth but the cream (and that’s the watch word folks-Cream) felt just a bit heavy and I really didn’t feel like my complexion was thoroughly cleansed.
aAll in all,it’s not a bad product but it could use a little work.

I got this cleanser out of curiosity to try something new. This works wonders in the shower only, for some reason. I wet my face thoroughly first and then apply a copious amount of this product. It removes all makeup and makes me breakout less. I can’t get enough of the smell – so good. It does have a slight scrubbing effect, somehow smooths my skin, makes it more even. Try it in the shower instead!

I’ve been using this product for almost a year after I saw the very nice rating on Beautypedia and I love it.
From the first use, it took the dullness away and left my skin glowing. I was sold.
I use it twice a day and its never irritated my skin.
For me, it’s perfection.
That being said, I recommended it to a friend who asked what I was using, but she had the same (unfortunate) results that previous reviewers mentioned.
If your skin isn’t overly sensitive, but mature and dull, this might be perfect for you, like it was for me.

As previous reviews state, this did not cleanse the skin well at all.
My skin did not look bright and instead, it looked dull and dirty….because it was!
I broke out starting from day one. I could not even get through the whole bottle of this.

I was looking for the foaming version but CVS didn’t have it, so I settled for this. Today I wore makeup for the first time in a long while, so I was really curious to see how well this worked. It’s creamy and slightly gritty and did not lather up, and it did a poor job of cleansing my skin. I used a couple quarter-sized blobs and massaged it into my face with my fingers, then with my little rubber scrublet, rinsed, then I used a white washcloth to dry my face. Ugh! There was makeup residue all over the cloth. I rewashed my face again then used a baby wipe to remove the rest. Not impressed Olay! This has no scent and did not irritate my skin. This is $10.79 at CVS which is really steep for a drugstore cleanser IMO. It’s on sale this week for $3.99 and I had a $3 coupon, though. Will not repurchase, but I still want to try the foaming version since I have oily skin.
UPDATE 12/10/15: I tried using this again, but after I applied it to my face, I added a teaspoon of table sale. WOW! What a difference. I can’t stop touching my face, it’s so smooth and soft. I will try this trick with all of my cleansers from now on, since everytime I buy a “scrub” I’m disappointed with the low-grit factor. And I have a 20 pound sack of table salt in my pantry no one will use because it’s not Himalayan.

Oh my god, what is in this? It burnt my face! I checked out reviews before I bought this and a few people had said they had the same thing happen to them, I was hoping I wasn’t one of them but I was, someone also said it bleached the colour off her towel which doesn’t surprise me now! I wouldn’t say I have very sensitive skin, though the odd product can sometimes cause a little stinging around my nose, but nothing has ever been this bad. Actually besides the face burning off part, I didn’t really like it anyway, the cream just sort of disappeared on my face, like I couldn’t even spread it around, I do get that it’s a cream cleanser and that’s actually my favourite type, I have lots of them and I know they’re not supposed to foam etc and that’s fine with me, but this just disappeared as soon as it hit my skin, just to thin or something. So I didn’t even really feel like I’d cleaned my face properly, but then when I was finished the burning started, and it just got worse and worse and my face looked really red and raw like sunburn! I had to keep splashing it under the cold water and hold a cold towel on my face it was terrible, and I can tell you my skin did not look great in the morning! So yeah there are good reviews out there for this so obviously people are okay with it, but if you think you have sensitive skin then I would avoid!
