I like this better than the moisturizing one. I have acne prone combo skin and this has less irritants and acne causing ingredients! It doesnt strip my skin either so this is a win for me and its so cheap. It doesnt feel as clean as if i use the cerave foaming cleanser(hg) It feels refreshing but i dont get the clean feeling for some reason i feel as if i have a film on my skin even after i rince. And the packaging sucks, i always squeeze out too much even if im being very careful

My favorite product in the simple line! I tried this when simple first came to the US in 2012 and loved it. It cleans really well without making my skin feel stripped and didn’t break me out or irritate my semi-sensitive skin. Plus a little goes a long way; it’s a nice thick gel that lathers well. Wouldn’t ya know that they stopped selling it in the US not long after I got it so 4 years later I picked it up when I went to the UK last week and I am reminded why I love it so much. The packaging has improved even more too, I remember the first tube I bought had a cap that would leak but they have fixed that issue now. I guess I will just have to purchase this online from now on….or make some impromptu trips back to the UK 😉

This is okay but I wouldn’t say it does anything amazing for my skin. I tend to use it after I’ve been swimming to counteract the effects the chlorine has on my skin, and for that it does a good job in that it doesn’t break me out or make my skin feel sore. However, for a ‘kind to skin’ product, it does leave my face feeling very tight like I’ve washed it with soap, which isn’t something I like.
I don’t think I would use this as an everyday facial cleanser, but for occasional use it’s okay.

Nice cleanser Great for a my oily sensitive skin! I use this with a wash cloth and it leaves my face so soft and clean!

I got a deluxe sample of this by mail. It was the first Simple product I had tried. It removed my makeup, including eye makeup well. I don’t like the fact that there’s no lather and it’s pretty slimy. I have since purchased the foaming face wash and much prefer it.

This is my first review on cleansers so I really have nothing to compare it to.
When I first started using this, I noticed it was making my skin dry, and I started having breakouts on my left cheek. But in time, I noticed that my skin was starting to get back to its normal form. So my take on this is that I went through a purging phase. The reason why I said “yes” on repurchasing again is because I actually left this at a hotel room, and since I had already gone through the purging phase, I didn’t want to have to go through it again with another product. I went ahead and bought another bottle. Right now, I have 2 other cleansers that are waiting to be used. This is the only reason why I have not repurchased this cleanser. (So my rating and review for this might change once I see how the other 2 cleansers work).
I don’t really remember how much I bought it for, but i did use it for 4 months. I felt it was awesome because some of my other skin care products had some fragrance in them, and I didn’t want to have all of the chemical fragrances to be piled up on my face.
So in case you guys are wondering what other skin care products I used with this cleanser, here is the break down:
Morning:
Mamonde Cotton Flower Mild Cleansing Tissue
Eau Thermale Avene Mist (Yes, i do not use any cleansers in the morning)
Shiseido Pureness Matifying Moisturizer/Clinique Moisture Surge Intense (I went through 2 moisturizers)
Clinique City Block Sheer – SPF 15
Evening:
Mamonde Cotton Flower Mild Cleansing Tissue
Simple Refreshing Facial Wash (I would use my Clarisonic every other night)
Peter Thomas Roth Max Complexion Correction Pads (if I didn’t use the Clarisonic for that evening)
Shiseido Pureness Matifying Moisturizer/Clinique Moisture Surge Intense (I went through 2 moisturizers)

I really like this gel cleanser to wash my face first thing in the morning. Not really a fan of this to cleanse off heavy duty makeup. Doesnt burn my skin, you only need a small amt to create a nice lather, unscented and has a slippery-like texture

I love this wash so gentle and no smell at all. I have very acne prone skin but still dry and this takes whatever makeup was left on my face without any tightness or residue. I compare this to clinique mild liquid wash but that one has an odd plastic smell to it. Overall great wash.

Update: Feb 2014 – Not 100% positive, but I am pretty sure it clogged my pores, it took several months and it was the only new product I added, I am back to PTR Gentle Foaming Cleanser hth. I have sensitive acne-prone skin and use this cleanser after oil cleansing. I wash with this cleanser to remove the oily residue from my face. It’s cheap (under $6 us), SLES/SLS free, and I purchased mine from my local Walmart. its the only drugstore cleanser I have found to date that doesn’t burn my skin, cause breakouts, or dry out my skin, and the best part – it is fragrance-free. Will it remove makeup on its own? maybe, maybe not, but for my purposes it works just fine and I hope it doesn’t get discontinued. Same skin type, or issues? give it a try. Here are the ingredients: water, cocamidopropyl betaine, propylene glycol, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose , panthenal, disodium EDTA sodium hydroxymethylglycinate.
