This product is what we call ripping off the consumer. 90 ml at 55.00. Not to mention the shipping and taxes if you live in Canada. It is primarily ffor a normal to dry skin, some people with combination skin may like it as well. There are products that are very similar without this outrageous price tag. Don’t waste your money. It’s not for my skin type so I’m just commenting on the type of product it is.

Like another reviewer, my Arbonne rep gave me a sample of this. I liked the sample, so I decided that I would buy the product while she was having a sale. I gave this an average rating (3 out of 5 stars) because it is just that: average. I have combination skin that is oily in the T-zone and dry on the cheeks. The pro is that this product did not dry out my skin; the cons are that it made my skin too oily and I didn’t like the smell. I think this would be a great product for someone older than me who has very dry skin, but for me, it just didn’t work. This product does have citrus in it (smells like oranges but not as good… LOL) so keep that in mind if you have sensitive skin. As far as packaging goes, this now comes in a pump and not a tube as the original picture shows. The pump is ok and the product seems to dispense fine without getting stuck. I took one star away because when you start running low on product, you have to open up the pump bottle to get the last remaining bits, whereas if this came in a tube, it would be easier to get all the product. This cleanser is expensive at $40 a pop, but it is marketed as anti-aging so perhaps that is why it costs so much. I read on the Arbonne website that their RE9 line “reverses aging” and their FC5 (Fresh Cell 5) line “stops aging.” I switched over to the FC5 cleanser/freshener after using this, which I like much better, and has a much better price.

I have tried all of the RE9 line, and this is the one item I truly swear by. I like that I can wash off all of my make-up, including mascara, with this one, and it leaves my skin nice and soft in prep for serum. I took off a lippie because of the price.

Pros: It smells good and makes your skin feel soft… at first.
Cons: For the price, it really doesn’t do anything that remarkable. Also, after the initial softness came extreme dryness for me. My skin flaked and hurt. If you have sensitive combination skin, I would not recommend this.

My arbonne rep gave me samples of the entire line so I am trying and reviewing them. So far the cleanser smells good – and definitely removes makeup – but I found it a bit too drying for my already dry and some-what sensitive skin. For the high price there is no way I would buy this cleanser. I did, however, splurge on the serum and my jury is still out.
This stuff is pricey and just “middle-of-the-road” from what I can tell so far.
Certainly not a bad product – and it does smell great (fruity/essential oil-ish) – and might work better on someone who has “normal” or combination skin.

I’ve tried ALL of the Arbonne RE9 products and even though they are a bit pricy they are VERY effective. . . .it’s worth the price. This is the best cleanser I’ve ever tried . . .cleanses but is not harsh . . .do yourself a favor and purchase this.. . .

My sister in law and I both love this cleanser! Besides the serum, this is my favorite part of the system. I have simply not found a better cleanser! It smells yummy, it feels yummy, and a little, goes a heck of a long way! I love it so much!
Only down part, it’s so friggin’ expensive! But I believe once I’m finished with my Earth Science creamy cleanser (which I’m not a fan of) I’m going to pay the membership fee again, and re-order!

I have older skin which is extremely sensitive and can’t tolerate anything too harsh with lots of chemicals. Arbonne Smoothing Facial Cleanser is a bit too pricey for my budget but this stuff is amazing plus a little goes a LONG way!! You only need to moisten your face first with some warm water, apply a small dab into your palm and work up a gentle lather. It smells heavenly-a faint scent of oranges. My skin tingles and glows after I wash it and dry it. It also feels very soft. I don’t understand why all the bad reviews. I am very picky about what I apply to my aging skin and this product really does it for me. I will never use any other. If you are concerned about the price, just get a pack of 20 samples for about 10 bucks on Ebay. I hope that they never discontinue it.

I can use some of the RE9 products, but the entire line used together, is too strong for my sensitive skin. This cleanser in particular really didn’t agree with my skin. Too strong, left it dried right out and caused a rash. Otherwise it removes make-up easily and smells great!

This cleanser is my absolute HG! I have very sensitive, combination skin (dry but breakout prone) & this cleanser is AMAZING- it’s ultra hydrating, smells divine, & leaves my skin feeling clean, silky, & nourished. The best part is that there is no stinging, burning, stripping, or irritation of any kind & no breakouts whatsoever. This is GOLD for me & the first cleanser I’ve found that I’m happy with. I also love the RE9 advanced serum, eye cream & night cream too! So happy I found this stuff. Samples can be found on ebay for a good price!
