This stuff is great! I just came off accutane 6 months ago and my skin started getting oily again, which led to small closed comedones and breakouts (no cystic acne thankfully). My 2% BHA from Paula’s Choice simply wasn’t cutting it anymore to control the breakouts and oil production.
This stuff basically cleared up all the little breakouts overnight after washing my face with it one time! It also took away a lot of the redness and unevenness of my skin. My skin did feel pretty tight after use but nothing a little moisturizer can’t help. I will be using this every other night from now on. It has also helped keep my skin more dry/normal throughout the day, and now I’m not a greasy mess by the end of the day – so that’s a bonus.

I never struggled with terrible acne but I tended to get little mean spots here and there, then once i started HS i became more stressed. I’m a senior now and i have seriously tried everything you name it i’ve tried it. So as a normal girl i was scrolling on youtube and i clicked on this video and this girl was talking about solvemyacne.org so i tried it. it asks multiple questions about your skin and recommends products. I tried this product for the first time in mid august and within a month my skin was clear! i was so amazed. the only neglect. i have for it is the scent and that it doesn’t foam. i like cleansers that i can see and know they are cleaning my face, other than that i absolutely recommend this product to everyone!

Ok I made an account just to write this review. I have suffered from horrible acne on my cheeks for almost three years now. Nothing could get rid of it (I tried everything). My mom told me to buy this because she heard about it in a commercial and it saved my life.
This product cleared up my skin SO MUCH. I still get breakouts from time to time but my skin is so much better than it was before. I highly recommend this product to anyone that is suffering from bad acne. I would just advise people with sensitive skin to test this on their hands first to see if it irritates them. I do wish the packaging wasn’t as stiff because it is hard to get out the last bits of product left in the tube.

I bought this a couple of months ago and I loved this product. It cleared my face and stopped future acne from blemishing my face. When I ran out I started using another Neutrogena face cleanser (which I also loved). Then when I ran out of that I bought this product again (3 days ago) because I wanted to see which one worked the best for me. I washed my face, tried my best to avoid my eyes, and went to sleep. I did notice that the cream was a bit thicker than I remembered it. I woke up the next morning and my eyes felt irritated so i went to the mirror and I realized my eyes were swollen shut and they burned. I had to use heat to get the swelling down and three days later the outside corners of my eyes are scabbed up and my face is peeling in random areas. It still burns and itches and I am never using this product again. I know it works for some people and I loved it the last time but I don’t know what happened. I would be extremely careful using this product and people with sensitive skin should stay away from this product because my skin isn’t even sensitive and it ruined my face. I think I know which product I’ll be using from now on.

PEOPLE please run from this!! This cleanser is pumped so full of fragrance. I like to tests cleanser out first on my hand by applying foundation/powder /blush onto my hand to see how well it does at removing makeup. This did fine with that and I was pleased BUT the fragrance in this…after washing it off my hand I can still smell the perfume from this cleanser on my hand 2 hours later!! I have super sensitive acne prone skin and know this would be a NO GO for me, I usually try to avoid fragrances in my makeup/cleanser because it is very irritating.
Do yourself a favor and go to your doctor’s office and get a prescription for 10% benzoyl peroxide wash..usually it will be cheaper (or free if you have insurance) from the doctor anyways. Also, I always thought that 10% grade bp is prescription only anyways so Im unsure how neutrogena can put this in a OTC face cleanser..I have doubts that its really 10% or maybe its some diluted version of it.
Pros
-removes makeup
-10% benzoyl peroxide (??Maybe..)
cons
-FRAGRANCE/PERFUME
-Expensive (~$8-9)

I did a lit of research on how ingredients play a role in shrinking acne. I’ve been struggling with acne ever since i was a teen and salicylic acid did not do anything to my skin. After trying a lot of daily cleansers from the drugstore i was happy to find a cleanser that has 10% benzoyl peroxide.i used both clean and clear continuous cleanser and i can say that the neutrogena one not only removed all traces of acne from my face but also prevented it.i wanted to give c&c continous cleanser a try but it didnt help with my ance.will definitely repurchase.

I love this cleanser. Having 10% benzoyl peroxide, I thought it would be super drying, but the creamy texture makes it actually moisturizing. After using for a few weeks, I feel like my skin is breaking out less often and has a smoother texture. Combined with a spot treatment and moisturizer with niacinamide, my acne spots seem to be reducing quite nicely.

I’ve tried everything for my acne from diy to dermatologist and nothing worked for me. I saw this advertised in Teen Vogue and immediately the words “stubborn acne” caught my eye. I bought this, the moisturizer, and the little wipe pads. I loved the cleanser but the moisturizer and wipe pads burned my face and I couldn’t even get them near my eyes (I have acne around my nose) It’s been a month since I bought this stuff and I use it every night and I LOVE IT! My acne is gone, just faint redness and a scar on my forehead. I really recommend this!

I was in Walmart looking for a new cleanser for my acne. Now I don’t have severe acne. I’d say it’s more like moderate, but big pimples on different areas of my face, mainly focusing on my cheeks and forehead that just wouldn’t go away for weeks. I saw this on the shelf, marked as part of the newly arrived collection for Neutrogena and the “stubborn” in the name caught my eye. I immediately tried it at home that night and was surprised at how gentle it was, despite the name “stubborn acne cleanser”. It has a creamy texture, so it doesn’t lather. I continued to use it for a month and realized that it was drying my skin out so badly. I have slightly sensitive, oily, acne prone skin and this was making my skin flaky and rough. No matter how much moisturizer I put on, my skin was still flaky and I exfoliate weekly. I don’t think it cleared up my skin much. It didn’t make my skin red, which was a good thing, but it made my skin look and feel rough. After I switched to a more gentle cleanser, my face immediately became soft, so it definitely was this cleanser that was making my skin rough and flaky.
