Rubbish, regular soap will do the same job. Wouldn’t spend my money on it again, really disappointed. 🙁

Got the one pictured here. Charcoal is always so good for oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin like myself. It’s a thick mud consistency that doesn’t foam at all. I wouldn’t suggest this for dry skin as my oily skin needs moisturizer to even it out, so I can imagine dry skin would be parched after using this. It doesn’t clear up my skin or claim to, just gently cleans my excess oil without irritating my skin.

I absolutely SWEAR by this cleanser. It has a nice consistency which is not too thin and not too thick and leaves my skin feeling fresh, soft and hydrated. I was suprised it didn’t dry out my skin one bit considering I bought the charcoal one. I absolutely love this product and couldn’t recommend it enough.

This review is for the L’oreal Pure-clay cleanser, Detox & Brighten. It is a creamy mousse texture that you squeeze into hands and add water to then apply to face. Works well as a facial cleanser. Cleans without over drying my combination skin. Has a masculine type scent that reminds me of Vichy’s clay mask ( A L’oreal company). Overall, just ok. I will use up but not repurchase. This will stain light colored wash cloths.

Very disappointed, did not do anything for my skin. As another reviewer noted this WILL stain your washcloth, towel, sink with red streaks. Messy non-productive, will not purchase again.

Don’t get why this has such a bad rating here. I just bought it today in the charcoal version (detox and brightening) and I could swear by it.
My skin type has been on the dry and sensitive side lately. And this doesn’t seem to irritate it or make it dry and flaky like some said. This was formulated for all skin types.
It’s considerably cheap for the amount that I get. Found it in Tokmanni for only 5,5€. I just bought the charcoal mask after reading the reviews on makeupalley as well but haven’t gotten around to trying it yet.
It says in the instructions not to get it around the eye area. But what kind of facial cleanser can be applied in the eye anyways. And I always keep my eyes shut in shower. So I didn’t have issues with it.
It was actually fun experiment seeing it sudding from a dryish clay. Would repurchase. Found a sticker that it has received some local magazine (anna) awards. So it sounded tempting. Run and buy 🙂

I purchased the Pure Clay Cleanser “Energizing & Brightening” (the charcoal one) on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart. I was previously using Purity by Philosophy, but wanted to find a cheaper drugstore cleanser.
This cleanser does a great job of cleaning my combination skin without leaving it stripped. It doesn’t foam up a lot, so I find it works better when I take my eye makeup off with micellar water first.

I was looking for an exfoliating cleanser for my summer-end skin, and tried this–( I got the 3 clays and red algae one–not sure what algae does!). It doesn’t foam much because it’s a mousse and the particles of clay are very fine and not visible, so it only exfoliates slightly. But that might be good, since it won’t irritate your skin. There’s a slight scent that dissipates. So it’s okay for a mild scrub that is pleasant, but for heavier exfoliation, I’d try something stronger with bigger particles.
ETA: This leaves red streaks in the sink that I had to wipe up., something I’d rather not do every time I wash even if they are not permanent–so no rebuy for me!
