Oy. I wanted to love this product. I remember using and liking Alba Botanica’s Hawaiian Enzyme Face Cleanser with pineapple and papaya and expected this to be similar. This has a nice gel-like consistency and a yummy scent of pineapple juice. However, this broke me out both times I tried it.
I rarely break out these days due to my age and overall good management with products from The Ordinary, Alpha Skin Care and Vichy. I really don’t break out in big juicy zits that have their own ZIP code. I do still battle mild oiliness and nose pores that love to make sebum, so I figured this product would be ideal.
Well, the very first time I used this product, I did break out in some smaller but significant pimples. Coincidence? OK, let it clear up, tried it again. BOOM. Juicy ZIP-code-havin zit. Not worth it. Pitched this in the trash.
