My experience with this Philosophy 3-in-1 cleanser for face & eyes is awful. Just absolutely the worst, most drying cleanser I’ve every used. Dried my skin out like I’ve never seen before. Didn’t think it was possible for a cleanser to wreak such havoc. Shame on Philosophy.

bought the sample size in that one pack in which it comes with the new moisturizer? yeah that one
i loved this at first! like, legit! i was like, oh my god, so expensive cleanser actually really works? i will throw down for this cleanser.
then like, a week passed. i started falling out of love with it. it didn’t annihilate all my makeup like i was promised. my eyes stung. i started needing to go in with a second cleanser in order to really clear all the crap off my face.
this is a really nice cleanser, but it’s not enough for my day to day. and for the price, i think i can do better. 🙁

This is surprisingly good for removing eye makeup while still in the shower – it even manages to remove some very stubborn Maybelline mascaras so I can skip the additional step with the micellar water I usually use to get rid of any leftover makeup.
I knocked off one lippie because my skin can feel kinda dried out right after I use it but the feeling disappears quickly and it does not make my oily skin produce even more oil to make up for it, so I can live with it. Also, I really don’t like the smell.

Had a terrible experience using this cleanser – heard a lot of good things about it but it made me break out everywhere! Within days I had cystic acne develop on my face and especially around the eye area, since I also used it to remove eye makeup. Would never purchase this product or from this brand ever again!

I buy the huge bottle along with the exfoliating and it is a pretty good deal on QVC . I like the clean feeling my skin shows. I use it with my clarisonic.

I had a few samples of this and was excited to try it because I have heard good things about it. I could not get past the smell though. It was truly atrocious! I’m not sensitive to smells but this was TERRIBLE. Vaguely medicinal. I cleanse by putting the cleanser on dry skin and cleaning it off with a wet washcloth. This is not a good method for this cleanser, it needs water added to foam a little. I couldn’t adequately test this cleanser’s performance because I couldn’t get past the smell.

I cannot wait to run out of this product. It does not cleanse my skin very well when I am not wearing makeup, so I can only imagine what it would feel if I was (I always remove my makeup with cold cream fyi). When I first started using it it worked okay. Then I started using toner and realized just how much grime was still on my skin. My recommendation: try the Cerva foaming cleanser instead. This one is overpriced and ineffective.

I know that this cleanser is very popular on television Qvc Bc they keep on show casing this on all their stupid philosophy shows I I actually got to try it bc I got a free deluxe sample size of it from Sephora a long time ago & Although it didn’t seem to bother my skin it did leave it kinda dry but not too dry Bc I have very oily skin! But I would never spend my money on this garbage stuff Bc just by checking out the ingredients in this stuff it nothing but irritating ???? essential oils & black pepper extract in it ! Paula b gives it a bad review & I agree! & I don’t like the smell of this stuff! To me it smelled like bug ???? spray! It wasn’t a pleasant scent ????! LOL!

Such a good cleanser! I enjoy using this as much as the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. Although Elemis feels more luxurious, Philosophy cleanses better and costs less. It’s a mystery to me how other people csn dislike this product. I’ve tried MANY and this happens to be one of my favourite. It doesn’t foam much at all, but I don’t really mind that at all. It is a good cleaser and leaves no residue after rinsing off with water. Will definitely buy again!

I’ve been using a sample of this while travelling and it is a nice creamy foaming cleanser. I haven’t used this as a makeup remover because I always do a double cleanse routine with a balm or oil first so I really couldn’t say if it removes makeup effectively or not. As a cleanser it is pretty gentle, did not leave my skin feeling tight or dry, nor did it leave a film behind. It lathers up a lot for a cream consistency which makes me nervous about long term use of this product. It has been great for travel, especially in humid weather, but I wouldn’t rush out to buy this. It’s pricey and there are so many other options on the market that I like better than this one.
