This toner saved me this summer! I love multi-use products – this cleanser, toner, and makeup remover all-in-one was like a dream to me! Condensing my nighttime face routine into one step? Consider me intrigued! This is an effective foaming cleanser (you only need 1-2 pumps) that you massage into dry skin and then rinse off. Once you apply it, the foam ‘melts’ (the best way I can describe it) and you feel as if you’ve just applied toner. Your skin is left soft, smooth, clean, and makeup-free! This is also gentle enough to use on eyes. The only criticism I have is that if you’re wearing very heavy eye makeup, it may not remove all of it. In these cases I follow up with a swipe of an eye makeup remover.

I received a sample of this cleanser. I found it drying for my dry-very dry skin. I’ll use it up – maybe using it once a week so as not to overdry my skin, but I won’t purchase. It might be fine for those whose skin is more normal to dry.

I truly appreciate the gentleness and sophisticated ingredients in this cleanser, having hyper-sensitive, acne-prone and roseacea skin. It has never broken me out, and is so soothing, probably due to the high amount of witch hazel, Zinc and Lady’s Thistle, and low-level surfactants. I’ve never seen an ingredient list like this before and that was my initially why I purchased it, despite (a) being wary that foaming cleansers can be harsh or drying and (b) this containing a synthetic oil (hydrogenated castor oil).
I wear medium-full mineral makeup and this takes off everything, leaving my skin incredibly calm and smooth afterwards. It needs no rubbing or washcloth, which is perfect for those of us suffering with raw, irritated skin. My pores are always left clear and have looked increasingly refined rather than puckered.
As a previous reviewer mentioned, it works best if you apply it to wet hands and a dry face. This activates an oiliness within the foam and it is this element which seems to do the ‘heavy lifting’ of makeup removal. I was initially concerned because oil cleansing has always broken me out terribly, but it rinses clean and my breakouts stopped and cleared within the first day or so of switching to this. I have truly never had a cleanser this gentle or effective before that has not broken me out, caused an allergic reaction, or dried my skin out. That is why I have given this a 5 star rating – if you have fairly robust skin, this may feel like a very ‘meh’ cleanser, but if, like me, you have incredibly difficult, fragile skin, this is very worth considering and I highly recommend it.
The only down sides are the price (RRP £26 for 150ml) and that using it morning and evening I found a bottle didn’t last more than about 2 months, but I often like to double-cleanse with it in the evening after makeup removal – more out of paranoia than a problem with the makeup removal. I’ve never used it on waterproof makeup, so I can’t comment on its effectiveness there, but I can use it to remove my mascara with no burning or stinging or cloudiness around my eyes (though don’t get it in your eyes!). I am surprised this cleanser has not received more or higher reviews on MUA as it is consistently rated very highly by customers elsewhere on the internet.
I think this is my HG cleanser and I never thought I would be able to say that about any product.

This cleanser will melt away stubborn foundation – I use it on dry skin and i can see in seconds how it works. The foundation starts melting away. I only use this if im wearing foundation, so this is not a morning cleanser for me. But the right one for removing heavy makeup.
Bet to use it on dry skrin and giv it min before washing of with water 🙂

This cleanser has very light foam consistency. Like a cheap bathroom foam in public toilets.
I guess it does the job as well as those do.
It somehow cleans, but can’t properly remove makeup, even the light one.
On a bright side it didn’t cause any issues for my sensitive skin.
