It works fine as a makeup remover but it does leave behind a bit of film so it’s best to use another cleanser afterwards. This is very strongly scented (it’s a bit herbal) and has menthol in it so it’s not good for sensitive skin. I really dislike the icy cool feeling and I think it makes my eyes irritated so I would not recommend this.

Loving this cleanser right now – I apply to dry face and the balm just dissolves everything instantly. First time using a cleanser in this format and I would highly recommend! I usually do need to follow up with a toner (I use RNW’s toner) to remove any remaining eye makeup.

I received this as a deluxe sample from Sukoshi Mart here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I love the idea of cleansing balms so I was eager to try this out on my summer face (increased sebum, BB cream, blush and mineral sunscreen.) This immediately tingled, then burned. Even near my eyes, which I made sure to avoid. It was the Lavender Oil, Grapefruit Peel Oil, Eucalyptus Leaf Oil, Tea Tree Leaf Oil, Mexican Juniper Oil, plus more, which were the culprits. It does smell like said ingredients as well. This is definitely NOT for sensitive, reactive skin, such as mine. I was so relieved when I finally flushed the products off of my skin. Those with non-sensitive skin would probably love this. But, too bad for me. I had hopes this would work as I travel for weeks at a time twice a year and the packaging and solid form would have made things so easy for me.

This is my first cleansing balm ive tried and i love it. Ive always used cleansing oils and since finishing up my bottle i decided to get this. I was contemplating on this one or the Banilla Zero and i saw a review saying Heimish has a thinner oil consistency so i went for it. This smells really nice, like fruity and a little herbally. Nothing too medicinal like Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Oil(smells so bad to me)
This melts in contact and takes off all my makeup. I do still do a double cleanse after just so i wash off the coconut oil in this, but other than that the ingredients in this is awesome. Again the packaging is very pretty and sits really nicely in my bathroom. i love how theres a flip top cap and another protective covering where you can place and store the spatula. There is nothing i can say bad about this. The price is affordable also. Id repurchase!
Edit- the lavender oil in this has been breaking me out. I finally figured out it is this product thats the culprit!

I have recently gotten into cleansing balms, because I travel a lot and the advantage with cleansing balms is that they don’t leak like cleansing oils. One of the cult K-Beauty products that bloggers have been raving about is the Heimish All Clean Balm.
I was a bit skeptical, because the reviews of this product here on MakeupAlley aren’t that great and a lot of people complained about getting whiteheads and breakouts.
I have dry skin that is occasionally prone to breaking out. Personally, this product works really well, especially since I like to wear a full face of high-coverage water-resistant makeup and waterproof mascara.I use a small amount and massage it into my face and the makeup just melts off of my face. Afterwards I just rinse my face with warm water and it washes off easily without leaving any residue behind. My skin feels smooth soft and clean. I also make sure to wash my face afterwards with a foam cleanser to remove any leftovers that I might have missed.
This product contains Ethylhexyl Palmitate and Shea Butter, which can be bad for oily skin.
Some other ingredients in this cleansing oil like Lavender Oil, Grapefruit Oil and Citric Acid could potentially irritate sensitive skin.
I really like this cleanser and it works great for me, however there are a few ingredients that might be unsuitable for certain skin types. If you have very sensitive, oily or breakout-prone skin this might not be for you.

Excellent cleanser. Melts easily, don’t need much product to get the job done. I use the scoop and it’s about the size of my thumbnail. I don’t have to rub very hard at all to remove my makeup or sunscreen. I haven’t had any breakouts, very little smell, but what scent I can detect is herbal/natural. Rinses off completely and easily, my face does not feel greasy at all when I dry off. I will definitely buy it again.

Unfortunately it contains coconut so I broke out from this, but I’m not letting that affect my overall score because it seems silly to mark something down when I’m allergic to an ingredient because my allergies are my own problem and I forgot to check the ingredients. Still, thought I’d mention it since coconut often makes people break out.
This does a great job at removing makeup but as cleaning balms go, I found it wasn’t very moisturising (compared to say, Clinique Take The Day Off Balm which would leave my skin very soft and plump). I used it for around two months and my skin wasn’t that great – I’d have to moisturise more than usual.
It has a kind of sharp scent to it that I don’t know how to describe. It’s a clean smelling scent that’s too synthetic to like, but it’s not harsh enough to hate. The balm would sting my eyes so I only ever used it immediately before stepping into a shower.
Although it removed my foundation fine, my skin just never felt clean after. It wasn’t the residue others have talked about, it just…. didn’t feel clean. Mind you, this stuff removes my Kiss Me Heroine mascara (that famously long lasting stuff that lifeguards wear) easily so you are undoubtedly getting cleaned.
If your skin handles coconut fine, you’ll like this product. I’d consider it the standard for a makeup remover because it does the job for a reasonable price but still has some flaws and doesn’t go above and beyond.
I’m off to try the Banila Co cleaning balm because http://www.skinsafeproducts.com (a very handy website that lets you filter by ingredient so you can avoid allergies) says it doesn’t have coconut, and I’ve seen a lot of reviews claiming it’s near identical to Cliniques TTDO so I’m hoping I can get some of that moisturising effect back but without the high price tag.

As someone who is usually acne-prone, I was a little scared to try this oil-based balm at first. Now I’m addicted to the way it melts off ALL of my makeup- even eye makeup.
I put a dime-sized dollop onto my palm with the spatula that comes with it and rub it all over my face (I don’t wet my face first.) You immediately see all of your makeup being melted away.
After I’m done getting my makeup off, I add a little water and this balm turns into a thin, watery, milky consistency and I rinse it off. I follow with Michael Todd Charcoal Detox Cleanser to get all the oils off and deep clean my skin.
This is definitely my new favorite makeup remover and I will repurchase.

All Clean Balm is a very good, easy to use cleansing balm, and I’ve tried quite a few (Emma Hardie, Body Shop, Elemis, Green Clean, etc). It easily removes all my makeup (including eyes) and rinses off no problem, I use a cloth but it comes off even just rinsing. I like the mild herbal smell, it reminds me of snow. You get a lot of product and it lasts a long time – I used my tub 3-4 times a week for about 6 months before running out. The only thing I don’t like is my pot was very runny, almost like it’s separated and should be in a pump, not really a “balm” and unusable with a spatula. I don’t live in a hot climate so I wonder if there are batch variations. In any case, it was very good at taking off my makeup with ease so I would recommend it.

This is the second balm I have ever tried, as I generally prefer oils. However, when I travel it`s tricky to carry an oil, as most come in pump packaging, so I tend to bring a cleansing balm along. My first balm was DHC`s: it was all right, it did the job of removing make up, but I felt that it was still pretty thick and I didn`t like rubbing it on my eyes. The Heimish balm turns quickly to an oil at body temperature and does a great job of removing make up. I always double cleanse, and I think if you have oily skin, you should also, to avoid breakouts. This hasn`t broken me out, as other reviewers claim. What I dislike about this product is the scent. I know fragrances are a matter of taste, and in my case I hate this one. I might repurchase, but only for travel and only if I don`t find a better balm in the future.
