I received this as a sample and it’s a good cleanser. Having said that, this brand is expensive and there are so many great cleansers less expensive that do the same.

This is a wonderful cleanser that removes all makeup! I can’t believe there aren’t more reviews for this product. It makes your skin tighter, pores smaller, keeps oil and acne under control and face glow. My husband noticed a difference and asked what I was doing different to my face. It has a menthol refreshing tingle while washing. I knew I loved it when I ran out and went back to my normal cereve cleanser and my skin didn’t look as good. This is a must have cleanser especially for oily girls. 4 lips for the price. If you order from Dermstore you can usually get 20% off so I order 2 at a time.

Fortunately I get this discounted at work, I work at a dermatology office. Every one at my work was obsessed with this product. I love to wear & play with makeup, a lot of makeup. I was only using makeup remover wipes to take it off at the end of the day. I thought I got everything off by just using the wipes & remover…Boy was I wrong….
I was prepping my face to get a microderm at work & the Dr told me if I had removed all the makeup off my face & I said yes I had just wiped it off with my makeup remover, she then told me to go ahead and wash my face with this cleanser. When I was wiping with the towel I saw all the left over makeup the wipes did not get. I was impressed.
It smells like tea & fresh. Has the same texture as hand soap. I rub it on my face all over with water gently in circles and as soon as I do, I feel it working. My face starts to feel minty. I let it sit on my face for like 30 seconds then wash it off. It is a little drying (since it is a lytic gel.) I use it even though I have dry skin! I just use a really good moisturizer (coconut oil) afterwards. I got my sister one for Xmas and she is hooked now too!
I would recommend this for oily skin for sure (even if you don’t just use a good moisturizer after) & use as a deep cleanser! I would refer paying for a good cleanser recommended by dermatologist than a makeup counter!

This is my go-to cleanser for my acne prone, combination skin. I find this cleanser does what it says. Shrinks and clears out pores, dissolves dirt and oil, gets rid of dead skin cells, all without stripping the skin. There is no tight, dry feeling after cleansing. It hasn’t caused more breakouts (unless they were hormonal) or exacerbated the existing ones. In fact, the menthol in the cleanser leaves a cooling effect, and calms my skin the F down. That is by far, the best thing about this cleanser to me. I find that my face heats up from the pain and inflammation I get from pimples and the cold, tingly sensation is so soothing, even well after I cleanse.
The key ingredients willow bark extract, marshmallow extract, and menthol contribute to an even and brighter skin tone, keeping breakouts away. With continued use, I feel like it’s slowly making my skin clearer and I also feel like my skin benefits when used in conjunction with their lytic lotions. The gel consistency immediately foams when applied to the skin and the scent is refreshing, a clean, almost citrus/floral? note. If you aren’t a fan of a little fragrance, don’t worry because it doesn’t linger after cleansing.
The packaging comes in a clear matte plastic bottle. The pump easily dispenses enough product. You do not need much. About a little smaller than a dime size since it lathers quite nicely with warm water. It also comes with a plastic pump cover to prevent leakage when traveling. I took a lippie off because I find this product at $36 for a 6.7 oz dermatologist and esthetician recommended cleanser is just a tad overpriced, but you do get a lot for your money since a little goes a long way. And don’t get me started on the pricing for the rest of the line- it is ridiculously expensive.
On a side note, I still need to use a makeup remover to get rid of waterproof mascara, and extremely pigmented eyeshadows. Other reviews online says it removes makeup, but that isn’t and hasn’t been the case for me with most gel cleansers. Lastly, although satisfying, the tingling sensation can sometimes be a little stinging to sensitive eyes. So use caution or avoid the eye area when cleansing.
