I dont know why people don’t like it cause it’s my favorite. I love reading ingredients and i love how natural this cleanser is. I dont’s use it to remove my makeup and pls dont use this to clean your makeup. It’s gentle enough to remove the dirt from my skin without drying it out. But i have to admit that i cant stand this cleanser’s smell
update : this starts to make my skin look darker so bye

This was just an OK product for me. Not terrible, not great. I didn’t notice any particular “brightening” effect, but it did an adequate job of cleaning my face without leaving it feeling dry.
It’s very affordable and I do appreciate Burt’s Bees use of natural ingredients so if you’re just looking for a good all-around facial cleanser, this is fine, but don’t expect to see much in the way of a brightening effect.

For starters, I have combination acne-prone skin (and some dark spots/acne scarring). After a Cerave cleanser nearly destroyed my face, I balanced it back with Olay’s Oil Minimizing cleanser. After I ran out of that I decided to try this one, to help brighten my face and add some glow back after the mishap with Cerave (which caused huge cystic acne).
I am so disappointed. I used this for about over a month already, and there is no visible difference in my skin. Forget that – I could tolerate that, honestly, as I don’t expect miracles. But there is no CLEANLINESS!! This only works if you wear no makeup and have normal skin. It does not wash off ANY make-up (especially undereye concealer). I tried using 3 rounds of it and no luck, I was left with visible makeup on my face. Even if not visible, it came off on the cotton pad during my toner use. What is the purpose of the cleanser if it won’t even clean? Won’t be purchasing again!

I saw that my cousin was using this and her skin complexion looks so much better. I decided to give this a try, but I was disappointed it didn’t really work as well for me. I used up the whole bottle but didn’t notice any difference in my skin. It did give me a nice clean feeling and it had a pleasant scent.

This cleanser is for 10$. Best for dry skin also great to use in winter. Leaves my skin soft and glowy afterwards. Best if used with the moisturizer that comes with it. SOMETIMES I see few acne here and there but they go away the next day. Idk if it’s this or just something else.

I quite like this, it leaves very little residue and rinses clean. Better for drier skins. Its effective as a cleanser when i’m not too dirty and I use it with a sonic device so its not too abrasive. Give this a go, its probably the best cleanser in this brand since the other ones leave residue or are just too runny. I don’t believe any cleanser can brighten skin since its just not on for long enough but it is a nice edition. Would rather use this than fork out the L’occitane brightening cleanser, since this is far more cost effective. The only reason I won’t repurchase is there are way too many other cleansers I want to try.

I’ll start out by saying that I don’t review products lightly at all. I’ve used this for over month now so it wasn’t once or twice and then when I didn’t get a miracle I was upset. No, I don’t expect miracles. I don’t expect instant results.
This product did not work as advertised at all. It claims to help visibly even skin tone, create a brighter more luminous complexion, removes dirt oil and make up. It didn’t do any of that but the one that really irritates me is the last one. No matter how long I massaged this crap into my face or how long I rinsed, I still had a ridiculous amount of dirt and make up come off unto the cotton pad when I used toner. What is the point of a “cleanser” that doesn’t clean? Not even a little. Also, it would have been nice for it to even my skin tone even a little bit since it claims to do so. There was absolutely no differences in my skin.
Except one, I’m breaking out like I did during my teen years. Thanks, Burt’s Bees.
I get hormonal breaks up. Just one or two pimples that pop up along my jawline when I’m about to start my period, that clear up in a day or two. This “cleanser” has caused me to break out along my jawline, cheeks, and forehead and they are stubborn as hell and very hard to get rid of. I might as well just never remove my make up. I’d get the same results with less effort.
I didn’t like the smell but that would have been easy to over look had it not been such a horrible, worthless product. It almost seems silly even mentioning the smell provided the experience I had with it.

I bought this cleanser on a whim when I went back home for a week. I left my coconut oil at college and needed a cleanser that was fairly natural, would remove makeup, and did not have an offensive smell.
I didn’t really buy it for the lightening aspect but I can tell a difference when I use it! I like to use it with a washcloth some mornings. Even when I don’t use the washcloth, my skin feels SO clean and smooth but not dry at all. I use a light moisturizer after this and my skin feels fresh all day long.
It is a bit expensive but online they have a $3 of promotion going on. You really get bang for your buck with this so try it out 🙂
