First, I cleanse my skin and then tone my face. After toning I use this “cleanser” and then wipe it off with a cotton round, then I apply my moisturizer. This stuff makes my face SO SOFT and feels so clean and it helps my moisturizer seep deeper into my pores, which in turns causes my skin to be less oily. This stuff is awesome!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! This stuff is basically the lazy girls saviour inside of me. The concept is a cleanser that only needs to be taken off your face with a cotton round, no water or washcloth needed. It’s so easy just to rub this all over my face and wipe it off with a cotton round. It leaves my face super soft. I use a pump and a little bit. The size it quite large and will last a while. Overall I definitely recommend it!

My skin felt quite dry after using and I woke up with a skin rash the next day. Threw it out.

My skin has been an absolute nightmare since giving birth to my son 5 months ago. Any product I have used before successfully has made its way to the garbage can. Dryness has been an issue indeed, but the worst is every cleanser I have used since leaves my skin looking as though it has 2nd degree chemical burns on it for hours, then dries it out by the morning leaving my face scaly. I even tried using only natural ingredients to make my own cleanser from online recipes, (cocoa powder, plain Greek yogurt, honey, lemon juice and jojoba oil) and it still would leave my face looking like it was burned.
I found this cleanser in a trial bottle and decided I’d give it a shot. The directions specify to wipe off with a cotton pad, no rinsing but I know my skin reacts wildly so I decided to wet my face and massaged it around cleaning my skin then wiped it off with a towel after. I waited and waited, nothing happened. I told myself the redness would show up in the morning as I woke, and to my complete surprise my skin looked so glowing, without a dry patch in sight.
The product has no smell and is a milky consistency, very easy to use. The bottle is wonderful. I do wish it was more affordable, at 16.95 it is pretty steep but I would pay it again and again now that I have my face back finally.
I noted that the previous review edited their post after a bit stating they no longer used the product, so I waited a couple of months before posting my review and I have had zero build up or break
outs from this product. It is definitely worth a shot. I believe London Drugs allows you to return a product if you are not satisfied with it, something to consider if you were to buy it and had a reaction like the previous user.
All in all, this cleanser is a lifesaver to me. I’m finally me again!

EDIT: This cleanser and I have broken up. After using it for a while I started to notice that my face almost had a layer of buildup on it from the cleanser, quite similar to that of build up from hair products on your scalp. Really nasty. I started breaking out. I don’t like this.
I feel like as a Canadian woman it is my duty to review the products by Marcelle that I try since it is a homegrown brand and it is important to a country’s economy to support companies that are local and whose products do not need to be imported. Anyways… Marcelle has always been a brand close to my heart because it was one of the first cosmetic brands that I was introduced to through my mom many years ago and it is a great brand for sensitive skin which I have. I ran out of my Avene Gentle Milk cleanser and was looking for a cheaper replacement…it was a toss up between this one and the Simple Moisturizing Cleanser and this one won because it was cheaper and it is a Canadian brand that I have had lots of previous success with. Now I’m not going to lie….I absolutely detest this new BB craze. I think its really, really stupid, I have tried countless BB creams and BB products and have noticed no difference or really any skin benefits whatsoever. For this cleanser I decided to not judge it as a BB cleanser but as a normal milk cleanser which brings me to my first point. This cleanser has a very milky texture- if you have tried the Avene Gentle Milk cleanser this is a very similar consistency but a little thinner which I like. On the directions it says to apply it to your face and wipe off with cotton and whats left on your skin is supposed to help you achieve maximum results. I use this with water, I cannot stand wipe off cleansers and I use this with my Clarisonic. I use this by lightly wetting my face, applying it all over, wetting my Clarisonic brush and then letting do the work and at the end of it all I rinse. Since I have dry skin I absolutely adore that my skin feels moisturized and not stripped after I use this. I have definitely noticed that with using this cleanser my skin is a lot softer and my hydrated. This cleanser is perfume free and it is definitely perfume free, my very sensitive nose approves very highly of this. To cover my whole face with this cleanser takes about 3 pumps since it pumps out hardly any product and it is completely non-irritating, doesn’t break me out and leaves my skin feeling absolutely pampered. I would recommend this for not only people with sensitive skin but people in general just looking for a very, very reliable no frills cleanser. I don’t think I would recommend this for very oily skin because it is so hydrating but I think this would be compatible with all other skin types. Would absolutely recommend.

Fun cleansing product! Discovered it through a sample and immediately loved the special foamy texture and great smell so I bought a full sized container for about $12.50 which I find very cheap for 100ml!
It has a very creamy feel to it and cleans perfectly. The only negative thing is that the container is not very tight: there is always some product on the inside of the cap. But overall good price-quality!

I would recommend this cleanser conditionally to people who have pretty good skin and aren’t sensitive/easily irritated. This cleanser claims to be a deep cleanser (A+) and deliver deep moisture (F), so that’s what I based my rating on.
The things it delivers:
– It really takes off all of your SS, BB cream/foundation.
– Washes off easily and cleanly.
– The foamy/bubbly gimmicky product is fun to use. It’s very easy to get your face clean, you don’t have to massage your face a lot like you do with oil based cleansers. You just put it on and watch it foam. Fun!
– Skin feels nice and soft after using product.
– The price is fair, and SKIN79 generally makes good products.
It fails miserably at:
– Moisturising. This stripped my skin the first time I used it, and by the second day there were raw patches on places where I had breakouts. It hurt to wash my face that night.
– This is not for sensitive skin. While it does not sting/hurt while it’s on the face, it definitely leaves sensitive skin raw and very tight afterwards.
– I’ve been using my extremely oily facial salve since the day I tried this product and my face is still very red, sore and blotchy. This is NOT a low-irritation product, no matter what SKIN79 claims.
If you have generally robust and healthy skin and use BB cream/SS, you might want to give this product a whirl to see if you like it, since it’s definitely good at cleansing and easy to use. Give it a pass if your skin is finicky or dry. I’m glad I just had samples of this product, there’s no way I could even use this sporadically.

Since I have was quite impressed with my Skin79 Hot Pink and VIP Gold BB Creams, I thought I could give this cleanser a try.
You are supposed to apply it on your face and wait for around a minute until the cleansing gel turns into foam on your face. However I didn’t find that it cleansed my face properly. I’m not really impressed with it and I think there are better and cheaper alternatives out there.
Not great and not worth the money

I only tried this because I was sent a sample with my BB cream. I usually use straight grapeseed oil followed by Eucerin Gentle Hydrating cleanser on my sensitive, combo/dehydrated skin and have been happy with that. This would have been perfect for me years ago when my skin was oily and not so sensitive but I found it too drying and it left my skin irritated.

Does it take off the makeup? Yes. Does it dry my skin out? No. Did it break me out? No. Will I buy it again? No. Why? Because this smells. It smells like old lady face cleanser and I hate it. I wish it were scent-free or perhaps a minty-smell. When I take off my makeup at the end of the night I want to feel as natural as possible, not killed with perfume. I ended giving it to my Mom (she loved it LOL), I’m not giving up on Skin79 cleansers since I love their BB creams so much.

I bought this product just because I thought it looked rather fun. First it does do a very good job removing BB cream. It comes out of the can as a whitish gel and you spread on your face. It then turns into a creamy foam, sort of like shaving cream. You can feel the bubbles tingling on your skin. Then you work it into the skin and rinse off. It does leave my skin nice and soft and hasn’t caused any breakouts.
There are two reasons I wouldn’t buy it again. You can’t use it in your eye area–it says specifically not to on the box, so if you have eye makeup on, you’ll need a separate eye makeup remover. I prefer a one step product. Second, the can tends to leak, which wastes product. Still, it was fun to try, and if you don’t mind having to use a second product to remove your eye makeup, you might want to give it a try.

I bought this to go with the Super+ BB Cream Gold Label since people said it can clog your pores if it’s not REALLY cleaned off each day. This cleanser has a nice light fragrance, I don’t care for fragranced things but it’s way at the bottom of the ingredient list and not offensive. From the other reviews and the product description I expected more bubbles. It does foam lightly but really just seems to rub in. I am used to sulfate free products so the lack of bubbles doesn’t bother me one bit because it really does a nice job of getting all traces of makeup off in one try. I use white washcloths and after the first swipe, no more makeup appears on the cloth. I tone afterwards also and no makeup appears on the cotton ball either. After some research though, I think I can find similar cleansers at a lower price. I’ll continue to use it up as long as it doesn’t break me out.
*EDIT* 3/14/13 My skin got really dry after using this for over a month so I switched to something else for a while. I might go back to it just as a makeup remover and then cleanse with something else afterwards and see how that works.
