I don’t know much about Korean Skincare but I saw a review on this and decided to try it. I was looking for a nice gentle cleanser that wouldn’t break me out. I have normal/combination skin and although I’m not acne prone, I still like to side on the err of caution and use more gentle products if they’re available.
Texture: Gel. It’s not too sticky and not too runny. It’s also not very thick. It doesn’t lather but boy does it clean. It does have a slight scent but nothing too over powering.
From what I understand this is a dual cleanser. I actually also bought this with the Grain Ferment Cleansing Balm as a first step with this to be used as a face wash, but someone told me that this Pool Water could also be used as the first step. However, I still continue to use it as a second cleanser and it works fine that way. It can cleanse through anything.
With that being said, I do notice some tightness after using this, although moisturizing afterwards solves that problem and after months using this it hasn’t bothered my skin at all in the long run. But, if you already have dry skin, that is something to keep in mind after using this.
