Lately, I have been very into stick foundation, stick contour, even stick blush. I feel like my makeup application goes on so much faster when I use stick products.
I went to Sephora one day and the sales person color matched me to this foundation. I loved how perfectly it matched my skin and the fact that it’s a clean brand. At first, I didn’t really like how difficult it was to blend! But once I realized it was my primer not matching well with the foundation and changed primers, blending was a breeze.
The packaging is very sleek and simple, which I like. Coverage wise, I would say it’s a lighter medium coverage, but buildable. I like a light to medium coverage so this is perfect for me. I want my skin to look like skin. The foundation lasts for my whole 12 hour shift with the exception of my nose. But every foundation always breaks up on my nose because I have an oily T-zone. Overall, I’ll be sticking with this foundation for a while.

And I thought MILK was for kids! I was using Koh-Gen-Do mixed with It CC and a drop of what’s her name’s Argan Oil. This was complicated and expensive. I walked into a Sephora one night looking looking like hell. The saleslady pulled out this MILK stick in a light with pink undertones and it matched perfectly. I’m 54 and have T- Zone super-oily, dry and flaky on my cheeks, have hyperpigmentation, and have a touch of Vitiligo, all depending on which spots of my face you are on.
This foundation FLOORED ME! I took it home. It wasn’t a placebo effect. It’s better than my old combo, my Chanel, or Guerlain. Oh, I also decided to try the Tom Ford and Fenty stick foundations and got them in the mail yesterday. Not even half as good. This MILK IS THE BOMB. The Tom Ford deserves another try, but was thick and shiny/greasy by comparison and the Fenty just sucked. The MILK has a GREAT texture that blends instantaneously and lays down a thin layer of even coverage that looks like your skin, just a lot better.
Applied with a damp Beauty Blender over moisturized skin (Charlotte Tilbury Cream) and set with the lightest CT Powder. I am sure it would work great with a foundation brush as well.

Well, let me just start out saying that MILK makeup is not my go to brand when it comes to mind. The brand comes across a high end sister of Glossier. With all of that being said, I decided to give this foundation stick a chance. The best decision I’ve ever made. A little info about me before I go into detail. I have dark skin that is normal to combo. Now, back to the review. Let me just say, the packaging is beautiful. The product comes in a white, sturdy plastic…feels heavy. And, you get about 10 grams of product. Now, it was time to actually apply the product to my face, and, once I did I didn’t really think to much of it but when I went out in natural light, BEAUTIFUL. I can not see this foundation on my skin. It’s a nice medium coverage as well and it is buildable. Word of caution though, this foundation stick is not very creamy so you may need a silicone primer to spread it around your face easily. Other than that, best purchase in a long while 😄

This is my holy grail foundation. I would’ve never thought it come in stick form. But everything about this foundation is amazing for me : packaging, coverage, buildability, finish, longevity, etc.
Im currently on retinol so when my skin is flaking i use a stippling motion (i dab my brush on the stick then stipple on my face). On normal days i swipe It on my face and buff it out. The only thing if i’m being super nitpicky is that I wish it was a smidge more emolient. I live in a colder climate so it could affect the stiffness of it as well. But overall, i LOVE this foundation and would totally recommend it!! <3

Color: Light
I received a deluxe free sample size of this foundation from Sephora. I was very excited to try this new foundation because it is considered a clean makeup brand. The color light is a bit light on me, but when I applied it to my face, it oxides to match the color of my cheek. I applied with a brush and it was easy to spread around. This is a light medium coverage. Where I needed more coverage, I applied more and I was able to get medium where needed and added more to my cheeks to cover my hyper pigmentation. My primer is silicon based and this foundation is silicon free. I was a bit worried about it gliding off, but it stayed on my face. This does need to be set because it remains very tacky on the face. When I first applied, I liked the feel on my skin, but after it dried, my cheeks and eyelids started to burn. I removed it from my eyelids and my cheek area. I left it on my forehead to test the formula.
I had no issues with the formula on my forehead, but for the rest of my face this is a no go. I have sensitive skin and will not try this one again. I am so sad since it is free of all sorts of products.
PRO: medium coverage, oxides to the right color.
CON: burns my face, price since you need to use quite a bit of product
