I bought this product online without seeing it in person, and I have to say that I really like this bronzer and reach for it more than most of my other bronzers. This bronzer seems to have a hint of red in it when looks far more natural than a lot of bronzers with a more orange tone. I’m NC15 and this just looks very natural and not like I have actually applied bronzer. This seems to be a baked formula and I like that it gives that sunkissed look instead of the “I just applied bronzer” look. I have the shade in Sunswept, for reference. I would describe the formulation as luminous but it doesn’t seem to have pieces of glitter, just a highlighting marbled swirl. I would definitely repurchase this as I think it’s a great drugstore bronzer. It comes in a clear compact.

Heatwave is a marbled shimmer bronzer that comes in a clear compact and has a luminous finish. I found it to be a versatile product, as I used it both as a bronzer and an eyeshadow.
I’ll start off with the negatives. Based off the reviews on the FLOWER Beauty site, I bought the darkest shade, which is Sunswept, and it gives me a subtle, sunkissed look. I’m a NW10 in MAC, so I was surprised that the deepest shade just **barely** showed up on me. It’s not very pigmented and does not build well. While I like its soft glow on me, if you are more than two shades deeper than MAC NW10 I do not think this will show up well. Even with a heavy hand I could not build it up.
Now for the positives! The finish on here is gorgeous. It’s a subtle sunkissed look that is luminous without being glittery. It adds a natural, radiant warmth to my face, and layers nicely over foundation and blush.
The wear time for me was all day, and it actually wore well as an eyeshadow too. I just used it as a sheer wash of color over my lids on days I needed a quick eye look.
If you’re looking for an affordable, subtle bronzer that isn’t orange I’d recommend checking this one out. Hopefully they’ll expand on the shade range because the finish is really lovely, especially for people who enjoy just a soft touch of bronzer. There were only two shade choices listed when I bought mine.
Keep an eye out for discount codes! There’s usually a 15% off code floating around, and during sales I’ve gotten 30-40% off.
