I am loving Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting Sun Stones. I bought this in a haul with other Physicians Formula products and put it away and forgot I had it. A month ago I was reorganizing my makeup and came across this beauty. The packaging is lovely. It’s a delicious bronzy brown double dome, with a clear window on the bottom that lets you see the round stones. The stones are two colors, one a darker bronze and one more golden. The top screws off, and had a nice round mirror of a decent size. Nestled on top of the stones is a brown velour puff with a typical Physicians Formula flat bristle brush on top. The brush isn’t entirely useless and I sometimes use it if I want a severe line under the cheekbone, or to apply a highlighter to the top of my cheeks. I don’t tend to use it with this product, but like to find uses for brushes if I can before dismissing them out of hand. I don’t use the velour puff for more than holding the stones in place, but sometimes I will pick up some product off of the puff with a makeup brush if it seems built up.
I like to use a dense brush, such as Real Techniques Cheek brush and apply to my cheek bones after I use a matte contour. This adds a bronzy gold sheen and I am all about glow lately. I get so many compliments when I wear this, and I will buy another one for backup, but there is so much product and it doesn’t take much to get a stunning glow.
I would say be careful when opening as the stones would spill if you opened it upside down, for example but so would loose powder or liquid foundation, etc. In general it a good idea to not open any product upside down. Things spill, what with gravity and all. Round things roll, also, so if you were to spill this, the stone would roll. That seems pretty obvious. I myself haven’t had a problem, and the velour puff keeps everything in place with general use.

product itself is beautiful, it gives my skin a subtle sheen and boost of color, however the packaging is terrible. after not using it for a while i forgot which was the top and which was the bottom and when i opened it, it all the tiny stones spilled everywhere. if they change the packaging to a flip compact and ill repurchase

Very pretty product but cant really use for much on the face due to how sparkley it is,looks gorgeous on the eyes though!

Glitter bomb.
Smells strong and unpleasant.
Tried to use it as body shimmer…the beads are just a pain in the back.
Keeping it because it is somewhat pleasant to look at.

Wow, not only me don’t like it~ it is not pigmented, I don’t think it does a bronzer job, shimmer inside, I think the only thing it does is adding some shimmer to your face, besides this, nothing at all

No color! Waste of $12

This is just shimmer, no color actually applies onto your skin. Lame!

Ok ive been looking for a new bronzer to run along under my cheekbones(I have high cheek bones that I like to bring out more) ever since I hit pan on my backups backup of wet&wilds blush sicks that I got in a brown /peachy shade with shimmer.that made my cheek bones pop with a natural darker glow. Well so I browsed the PF section @rite aid..boy have these jumped in prices since I graduated from the moon one when I was a teen..16 bucks without a cupon!!? So anyways I finally settled on this on in medium-dark.kinda stunk that in the box u cant see what color they are but based off all the other light-med &med-dark bronzers the light-med didnt look dark enuf for what I want..im a NC30-40 depending on how much im outside.this did absolutly nothing but add a gold sheen to my cheeks, I did like that it came with a brush&puff.I actually like the brush as its thin&wide perfect for sweeping under the cheekbone to contour& dusting the top for highlight.it woulda been perfect I should say if it did add color..highlighting yes if ur looking for a gold tinman look.im guessing that this is for just all over wich is what I thought when I bought it but I wanted to try anyways.stupid me.but I dusted it on my color bone too (wich is tan) to see if it will work better as the summer goes on but it didnt do anything notacible…am I the only one that sees& hears bronze and thinks darker not just straight shimmer?the packaging is cute but weird& if u forget to open the dark side (one side has a window&other a bronze lid with a sun inside.its like a round submarine) then all the balls fall out.the balls are bigger then their other one in the not as pretty packaging but there isnt very many& that suprized me when I first opened it (actually i had to have my husband open it the 1st time as it was screwed down good). Like the brush.like the packaging a bit but hate that it really has no color other then gold even tho there are 2 diffrent color balls in it(like a liquid gold that powders been mixed with) will return&try and hunt down a brown/rosy cream stick..why did everyone in the drugstore dept stop making these?
