I purchased this on sale for around $10, which is a fantastic price (retail is $28?) and it is definitely worth $10. But not $28!
The only reason I bought this is travel purposes, so that I can include this as a second cleanser in a carry on bag. My first love cleanser-wise is Cetaphil, which will definitely be in my Dopp kit.
This formula is so much more than I expected from a stick! It leaves my skin very clean and so soft. There are little chunks in it but they’re not scratchy. There’s no lingering film or scent. I do pat on moisturizer immediately, because I fear it could be drying, and this is the reason why:
The directions say to apply to dry face. I have read in other reviews that applying to damp skin is helpful but that it tends to gunk up the container, etc. In order to get any product to lay on/stick to the face, the user really needs to massage it in (to warm it up I believe), and then it tends to leave clumps. This in itself is not awful, because it lathers you very nicely once water is added. However the clumping can result in having too much cleanser to wash off – and waste.
I have a feeling this is being discontinued; I would purchase again if it is ever available for under $12…
