This scrub is just ok. It leaves my hands soft, but I don’t think there are enough scrubby particles. The scrub pieces are nice, they are small and not too scratchy. The scent of this is wonderful, very spa-like. If there were more granules I would repurchase. I like a lot of Julep products, this is just a miss for me.

I am a huge fan of this scrub! I have been using it for about a year after I decided to Incorporated an anti-aging regimen into my bedtime routine. Since I am a stay-at-home-mom I don’t really have rough hands but they do get dry from dishes and laundry, and I get callouses every now and then from vacuuming. After using the glycolic scrub my hands are so soft and feel hydrated. It doesn’t smell bad but it certainly isn’t fantastic smelling either. I love that the glycolic acid and the exfoliating in the scrub helps increase the blood flow and plump my bone-e looking hands. Overall, I would definitely recommend.

I have to say, at first, I wasn’t really even sure I was going to use this product. I mean it’s a hand scrub; if I’m using a scrub in the shower, surely I don’t need a scrub just for my hands right? One day when my hands had become super dry and flaky, I decided to try it out. I was surprisingly impressed. After I used it almost all of the flakiness was gone, and my hands were super soft and moisturized. Now I use it every night, so that my hands will be super soft.The packaging is quite simple. Its just a pink squeeze tube. The scrub itself is a thick orange jelly with rough, small grains (the apricot seeds I presume.) It has a light, apricot scent that is not overpowering. The only reason I wouldn’t repurchase this is the price. It is anywhere from 16 to 23 dollars for just three ounces. I could simply use my scrub in the shower for my hands, so this to me is just a luxury product. I will enjoy my tube until it’s gone, but I don’t have any plans to repurchase.

I received this as part of a Julep Mystery Box and was less than thrilled… It just didn’t seem like something I needed… That was, until I used it! OH MY GOD, my hands were SO SOFT – I couldn’t stop touching them! I wish I’d had this all winter! (Though, I probably won’t use it nearly as often in the summer…)

Keep this on my sink and I use it every night. My hands are so smooth. It takes care of all the flakeys because my skin is so dry. Be sure to shake up the bottle. Was a bit watery at first

So far, I really like this hand scrub. I use it about twice a week. It leaves my hands feeling so smooth! I have very dry hands, and I can’t stand most hand creams because of the smell.
This scrub smells delightful, and makes my hands look and feel good. I’d definitely repurchase this.

I have been using Julep’s Glycolic Hand Scrub daily, or more often, for about a month and here’s what I think about it now that I have run out:
PROS
* Does exfoliate my hands without irritating them and leaves them feeling soft and smooth.
* The fragrance is not overwhelming.
* Lasts a long time.
CONS
* No results I haven’t seen with *any* scrub – hand/foot/body/face, they all SCRUB. That’s the point.
* The price isn’t really justified. As far as glycolic acid scrubs go, this one is pretty cheap, but I haven’t noticed any better results using this scrub with GA versus a plain sugar or salt srub without.
Overall, I really can’t say that Julep’s Glycolic Hand Scrub does anything that any other scrub wouldn’t do. To be honest, I can’t tell the difference in texture, smell, or effectiveness between this product and St. Ives Apricot Scrub. I got it for free, so no loss there, but I certainly wouldn’t buy it at the price Julep charges.

I got a full size tube in my March Julep Maven Box. This hand scrub is paraben and sulfate free. Julep products are not tested on animals and are made in the USA. Julep producs can be purchased through the brand’s website, at the four Julep Nail Parlors in Washington state, and in a limited selection at Sephora. Julep also offers a monthly subscription service that costs $19.99/month. The Julep Maven box is the most affordable way to sample their products.
Julep’s Glycolic Hand Scrub is pretty plainly packaged. This product comes in a pink and white box that offers the product name, a full ingredient list, claims, and directions, as well as a short warning. This plain box houses a plain squeeeze tube with the same color scheme and information. This tube has a black flip top cap. So the packaging isn’t gorgeous, but it’s definitely functional.
Julep’s Glycolic Hand Scrub has the “double exfoliating action of finely milled natural apricot seeds plus glycolic acid”. This scrub has a gel like base with a fair amount of apricot seeds in it. Julep suggests using a quarter sized amount of their hand scrub to exfoliate damp hands, but I feel like I need much less than that. This scrub is kinda similar to the St. Ives Apricot Scrub in the that it feels. Julep’s scrub is fairly harsh, but not irritating. This scrub really softens the skin and removes any dry bits you may have. Julep’s Glycolic Hand Scrub is a nice treat at the end of a work day that’s been rough on your hands. This hand scrub is a great companion for Julep’s Rock Star Hand Cream. I got curious about using this scrub on my face, since Julep half suggests it, so I tried it a few times and didn’t really notice much of an improvement in my skin, but there was a pleasant tingle afterwards to let me know that the glycolic acid was working. Julep warns that glycolic acid can cause your skin to be more sensitive to sun exposure, so remember your SPF, especially if you’ve used this scrub on your face. Julep’s Glycolic Hand Scrub has a light, non-offensive floral scent that lingers for a couple minutes.
Julep’s Glycolic Hand Scrub is really nice, but totally unnecessary. I feel like you don’t need a separate face, hand, body, and foot scrub; you should have one or two that multi-task. If you want a somewhat harsh exfoliant, turn to St. Ives and save yourself several dollars. However, if you want a scrub with glycolic acid, Julep’s Glycolic Hand Scrub is actually a good option, it’s comparatively cheaper than other glycolic facial exfoliants that you could find a Sephora, though the glycolic acid may be lower. Whether or not Julep’s scrub is worth your money really depends on what you want from it. For me, it isn’t something that I need or would repurchase, but I’ll enjoy the rest of my tube.
