This is a cute and fun product, similar at least at first glance to Benefit’s Benetint. But beware: I’m pretty sure some ingredient in here is a strong allergen! I basically don’t have any known allergies (apart from the occasional hay fever around spring and summer), I’m not particularly sensitive or reactive usually, but when I tried this on my lips I had a horrible reaction. My throat actually felt tight and constricted almost immediately, and I washed it off right away. I’ve never had something like that happen to me with makeup before, which is why this went straight in the bin for me.

I didn’t like this on my lips but in its defense I don’t like any of this type. I did like this on my cheeks though, it gave a pretty flush.

Tint & Sass calls itself “cherry” red. I’ve noticed the color “cherry” is relative to the imagination of product marketers. In my mind “cherry” is a neutral, vivid pinkish red, but more red than pink, just like Tints & Sass. It’s similar to the rose shade of BeneTint, but Tints & Sass is a bit brighter and pinker. The formula is a watery gel that spreads easily but you have to be quick or you’ll look like you have chicken pox. If you’re a fan of lip/cheeks stains, you’ve probably tried Tini Beauty. Tints & Sass is similar to Tini’s Maraschino, but Tints & Sass gets turns deeper red when layered. Also, upon application, Tints & Sass has a wonderful fresh cherry scent that dissipates quickly. It needs a gloss as a topper or it’s drying.
