I got this in Brilliant Nude and I love it! I couldn’t seem to find a lot of reviews for this color… I use a light hand when applying and on fair skin it’s a barley there nude for me which is what I prefer in a blush is barely there look…. Price is expensive however for me since I have sensitive skin I have had no breakouts or issues like I do with other blushes so this is a win for me….

I have two of these in the shades, “Brilliant Nude” and “Mood Exposure”. For your reference, I am NC20 in depth with neutral slightly olive undertones. I already have some slight redness on my cheeks (leftover from old acne breakouts), which affects how I feel about certain blush shades (I stay away from reds and bright pinks that will just accentuate the already present redness).
I was surprised at how hard it is to find solid reviews on the shade Brilliant Nude, maybe because it is fairly new to the lineup. Despite the lack of reviews I still decided to take the plunge and purchased it based on how Allana Davison seemed to love this shade. This is a very nice peachy colour that is not too orange (which reminds me of the Fuzzy Peach gummies). On my skin tone, it really brightens and livens up my face – a truly perfect summer blush. I personally really like this shade, and I find it to be more of a true peach compared to Clinique’s Cheek Pop in “Nude Pop”, which is a peach that leans more pink.
Mood Exposure is a shade that I didn’t find myself enjoying as much as I thought I would. On me, it reads a plummy pink that can easily resemble rosacea if I’m not careful with applying it lightly. But when softly applied, it makes me look slightly flushed like I just took a long walk in the cold winter air.
Perhaps this line has been recently reformulated but there is noticeable shimmer in both blushes, and it becomes especially apparent as the blush wears off. It can’t be seen from far away but when I am a step away from a mirror and I turn my head, my cheek sparkles. That isn’t really the finish that I’m into (I like the natural sheen-like finish of the Clinique Cheek Pops a lot more). The lasting power of these blushes is typical of how long powder blushes last on my face, though I find Brilliant Nude wears off faster (at around 6 to 7 hours) compared to Mood Exposure (which can last around 8+ hours). Some people complain about these blushes being powdery, which I don’t find that to be true at all. However, I am not a brush swirler and that probably explains why I have no issues with powder kickup. I take my Japonesque Blush Brush (slightly loose and flat, fluffy, and domed) and softly drag it over the blush in one fluid zig-zag motion before applying. In terms of it looking powdery on the face, I have combination skin and my cheeks can get a bit greasy so it’s not an issue. As expected from Hourglass products, these blushes are great quality. They are very soft, finely milled (though not creamy, per se), blendable, have fairly good pigmentation while still being buildable, and are housed in sturdy, lightweight compacts that are perfect for travel.
Overall, these are great blushes, though I do wish the sparkle factor is turned down to a zero. I am not sure if I would repurchase these when I run out, but perhaps I can’t decide because I am just spoiled from only using blushes that have had mainly raving reviews (these Hourglass blushes and Clinique’s Cheek Pops) so I don’t know how to appreciate these fully. However, if you are in the market for a new blush then I would still recommend these.

I ADORE this blush!! I have some red spots on my cheeks and most blushes just accentuate the problem. This is flawless, blendable and gorgeous, yet very natural looking. I have it in several colors and I love them all! My fav is dim infusion on my pale neutral skin.

I have this in the shade radiant magenta and it really is a gorgeous natural looking blush. The problem is it fades, sometimes as fast as ten minutes after application. I’m even using this over long wearing primer, foundation and setting spray. For such an expensive product I expected better

Only downside is the price but the investment is worth it. The only blush I use, beautiful raidiant colour instead of looking like a clown with every other blush I’ve tried.

I read the positive reviews on the Sephora website so decided to splurge on this as I was looking for a rose toned blush. I went with the shade Luminous Flush. I looks beautiful when you first put it on, a natural flushed rosy tone, not powdery at all — what you would imagine “Orgasm” should look like. However, it doesn’t seem to last on me. It’s totally gone by the end of the afternoon. I don’t have time to touch up my makeup during my hectic days so I don’t think it’s worth the splurge and I would not repurchase.

Bought this in Dim Fusion to go with my Ambient Lighting Palette. Sadly I’m underwhelmed. Colour looks nothing like the mix in the pan and the pay off is just blah. Was hoping for amazing things after reading reviews but it’s nothing special and not worth the money. Love the palette though on a separate note!

I am NC15 with ruddiness/blotchy skin due to rosacea (and being Irish). I have this in shade Radiant Magenta and I love it and have worn it every day since I got it. First of all, this is a gorgeous product in the pan with brilliant gold veining through a beautiful pink baked blush, contained in high-end, elegantly designed, substantial-weight packaging. There’s nothing cheap about this, including the price – yipes. When I first opened it, I was worried about how it would look with my skin tone. The pink in it is SO blue-toned – it’s a dark fuchsia bordering on magenta (not quite purple enough to be a true magenta). I am so pale and washed out (and that’s on a good skin day) that I worried this would read cheap (as the Dior Rosy Glow Awakening blush does) on me. While I can’t stand warm blush (goes muddy with my yellow undertones oompa-loompa-style), I also avoid magenta/overly blue-toned blush because the contrast with my skin tone doesn’t work and I end up looking like Pat Benatar in the Love is a Battlefield video (love you Pat!). However when applied with a deft hand, this blush is lovely – youthful, girly perfection. It has that magical quality of a really great pink blush: it takes 10 years off and seems to make my eyes sparkle. This would also work for deeper skintones. The gold in this is not noticeable, it just gives it dimension and keeps it from being flat. You don’t see sparkles or glitter from it and it doesn’t make the overall impression warm in any way. You get quite a bit of product and you need very little of this to have an effect, so it should last a long time. The compact is quite heavy and because of that, not ideal for a makeup kit in my purse (my HG for that is Sonya Kashuk Petal). As with every Hourglass product I have ever tried, I adore this and will buy it forever.

I picked up the Hourglass blushes in Diffused Heat, Luminous Flush, and Dim Infusion. These are the first Hourglass products I’ve tried. Retail price is $38 each. First, the packaging is very luxe & sturdy – a heavy plastic compact with a metallic finish. The blushes themselves are very pigmented, last all day, and have a beautiful, luminous finish. Not sparkly, not shimmery – just luminous. I am NW15 and all 3 of these colors work well for me. Dim Infusion is like a beautiful soft peach, Luminous Flush is more of a champagne pink, and Diffused Heat is a warm reddish pink. All 3 apply beautifully and smoothly, and I do not need to use an additional highlighter with these. I would definitely recommend splurging on these, especially if you have drier skin & want something that will apply nicely and give a bit of luminosity.

Love this blush. It’s an interesting and unusual blush for 2 reasons. First of all, it goes on a little differently as the pigment doesn’t show up in full immediately upon application. I think the ambient lighting powder mutes the pigment when it’s first applied. The first time I put it on I felt like I wasn’t getting any color so I put a lot on and then 5 minutes later I looked like a clown. So beware of that. If at first it looks like there is no color just give it a minute or two before you add more. Secondly this blush doesn’t look like makeup when it’s on, it looks like skin, which is awesome. When I put just a little on my cheeks it really does look like a natural flush. I got the shade Luminous flush which seems to work very well with my medium olive skin tone. I love it and I would repurchase
