I tried both the regular version and matte version on multiple occasions with similar results except that the matte one took about an hour to look greasy and fade where as the regular one looked bad right away.
I have oily, sensitive skin and both irritated, itched and caused white heads so I won’t try it long enough to do any significant damage to my skin seeing as the formula doesn’t even look good and it comes off too easily. shade medium was a pretty good match to my NC20-25 skin.

This is my new every day foundation. I love it soooo much, looks beautiful and smooth. I have some texture and it doesn’t emphasize any of it, if anything it smoothes it out. Looked it up on skincarisma and it has some AMAZING ingredients for your skin. For me that’s it’s huge plus, since the finish is comparable to the NYX tinted skin veil. Love, love, love it. For reference, I’m a Mac NC15-NC20 and Fair is pretty much an exact match.

I have this and the original and depending on my mood I would switch between the two. What I love about this formula is it really covers my redness really good and I understand that some people might be averse to the thickness of the cream. However, I find that it soothes my textures and it gives a nice glow as the day goes on.
For reference, I am between NC 20 to 25 and the shade light works for me.
As my skin matures, I am becoming a believer of less is more and this looks like skin on me.

I really wanted to like this cream so very much but alas, for me it is a no go. I tried the Deep in the store and initially, the color and coverage seemed perfect, but once I got it home and used it alone, it was more like a weird kabuki mask! It just sat on top of my skin and never blended in well. This somehow made my skin appear oily and dusty looking at the same time! Oh well, back to Sephora with ya!

I would put this at more of a 3.5. I have sensitive acne-prone skin and finding foundation that agrees with me is hard. I loved the way the original CC made my skin look but it was giving me some closed comedones. I found out that they make this oil-free version and gave it a try. It’s not perfect but it’s one of the best I’ve been able to find. The original version makes your skin glow but this one is very matte. It sometimes gets a little cakey but following up with a setting spray helps. I’ve found that applying with fingers is best – I seem to need several pumps when using a brush but with my fingers one pump is plenty – just be sure to use a very light touch. The coverage also isn’t as good as the original version but it’s buildable so I just dab a little extra over zits/scars. This doesn’t break me out.

I prefer this new Matte formulation to the BB creme which was far to shiny on me.
This is not like a traditional beauty balm. It is more of a foundation; however, if I use a brush it is much easier to apply a thin layer, using only my fingers it is to thick and settles in my fine lines near my eyes. Good coverage on spots, redness, whatever.
I’ve liked it enough to purchase it again and have gotten compliments on my skin while wearing it.

For reference, I have normal-to-oily skin, very prone to clogged pores, with a history of cystic acne. You can see why a CC cream marketed as oil-free and matte would be very appealing to me. I got the shade Fair, which is too light for my NC20, olive-undertoned skin, but their shade range is pretty limited.
This doesn’t have a scent, and feels very light on the skin. I also love that it has SPF, and comes with a pump. But it really… isn’t matte at all, at least not on my oily-ass face. It goes on tacky and stays that way, with a noticeable shine that doesn’t go away as the product dries down. If I’m putting on bronzer and blush, I find that I have to dust on a light layer of powder over my cheeks to set this cream first, or the tackiness will make my other complexion products apply unevenly.
I keep hearing people call this a medium-to-full coverage CC cream, but I also found that to be untrue on my skin. I would put on a sheer layer with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, then try to stipple on another layer for added coverage, but that would just remove the first layer I put down. Maybe using a beauty blender would have worked better?
Final thoughts: I don’t hate it, and it doesn’t break me out, but for the price point it really doesn’t feel worth it to me. Maybe someone with less oily skin would like this more than me.

I had heard great things from other people but I absolutely hated this product. It would barely stay on my face and I looked like a greasy mess after 30 mins. The only thing I can say is that it didn’t appear to cause me to break out.

I really wanted to love this product. I’ve read so many reviews raving about the miracles of this CC cream. It does mattify and it lasts a good amount of time and it doesn’t transfer too badly. However, the coverage is just ok and if I didn’t colour correct my dark spots and redness before applying it, it certainly does not colour correct for me. It’s very expensive also which is a turn off and there are so many other CC creams out there for a fraction of the price. This product is just ok.

Tried both the regular IT CC and this matte version – samples from Sephora. First off – the shade range is horrible. I’m NC15-20 and fair was completely too white, I looked like a ghost, shade fair-light was too pink, and shade light was oompa loompa orange and like, 3 shades too dark for my face.
I tested fair because it was my only option, applied with a damp sponge, and it looked like the dry Sahara on my face, besides being literally a ghost. Washed it off immediately. I talked with the Sephora rep and told her how dry it was on my face, even with a sponge (and moisturizer beforehand) and she was like, “yeah, you probably won’t like it then”.
Ugh yeah. I donated my samples for someone else to try. CC cream, yeah right.
