I am new to Fekkai products and have found some of them to be excellent. The Luscious Curls Cream however was disappointing. Yes it smells great as all FF products; is a nice consistency; good quality ingredients and nice packaging BUT for the high price, didn’t do anything that any drugstore leave-in conditioner would do. I have naturally curly 2c/3a hair with some dryness on the top layers, and my hair soaked this up but it did not define the curl or act as a styling product. Just not worth the money, and if you want something to define the curl and hold the style you will need to try something else. As I said it doesn’t work as a styling product, only a leave-in conditioner. My next purchase of FF products will be some more Salon Glaze and Glossing Cream – fantastic. I am also going to try the Summer Hair leave-in conditioner as I would like something with UV protection.

Just some background on my hair: My hair can be brushed somewhat (frizzy) straight, or with products can be defined into loose-ish spirally curls/waves. I am 100% Chinese, by the way.
When I first tried this product I was so disappointed! The smell is all right (many people like it, I personally am not a fan of it though), and the good thing about this cream is that it’s lightweight and doesn’t hold your your curls down. However, this cream also has NO holding power whatsoever, and I tried a bunch of different ways to get it to do what it’s supposed to do: I scrunched, I twisted, everything, but all I was left with was a mess of non-defined curls.. although I must say that it made my hair quite shiny. I’ve found that the best way for me to make this work decently would be to wash my hair (shampoo, conditioner, etc.), and add a frizz-controlling/curl-defining mousse (Using Liese’s Wave-Up foam in No. 2), and then when my hair is dry and then coat each individual lock of hair. It’s extremely troublesome and tiring, but it does make the curls even more defined/less frizzy, shiny and all that. I’m not sure if I would repurchase. If the product wasn’t so incredibly expensive, I probably would, but for its price, I expect it to at least be able to hold curl without having to use any other products.

This did nothing for my 3b hair. I would have to use an obscene amount to get any kind of hold or definition… but oh my, the SMELL. This is one of the best-scented hair products I have ever tried. And that is the only thing it has going for it, unfortunately.
