This is an excellent drugstore alternative to MAC’s Paint Pot in Painterly, especially if you find that Painterly is too cool-toned to work for you as an eye base. Continuous Almond has a more neutral undertone, and the pencil form makes it very easy to apply. It has a creamy texture that blends beautifully, and helps extend the wear of any powder shadows you put on top of it. And the price point can’t be beat – I think I picked it up for under $4 at Walgreens.
I have two minor complaints: first, the pencil is kind of difficult to sharpen (it fits in the larger side of a traditional eyeliner sharpener, but the plastic-y outer layer of the pencil is hard to grind down). Secondly, I go through this product much more quickly than the other eye bases I’ve tried, and have to repurchase more frequently.

Dupe Alert!
I wanted to try bareMinerals 5 in 1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow and finaly bit the bullet and got one and it is fantastic as expected, But it is really on the pricey side at £17 on Amazon. So, I have been looking around for something that is comporable and Jordanas 12 HR Eyeshadow pencil in Continuous Almond is spot on!
It goes on very smoothly, and is very creamy and easy to blend all over the eyelid. It stays put all day long and doesn’t crease at all. I love the Jordana eye primer/base as well, but have been finding with this Jordana pencil I don’t really need an eye base, especialy on those days when I’m in a hurry. The the pencil is very opaque and covers up all my uneven eyelid imperfections and dark areas.
It also looks fantastic on its own with a little cat eye eyeliner and Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara – Black (awsome mascara), for that nude 50’s look!
Also, I have been using it for a while and I have only had to sharpen it once so far (Barry M – Sharpener), so it will last for ages.
Jordanas Continuous Almond is a tiny bit warmer than the BareMinerals Soft linen I bought.
It has a slightly more pinkish tone, so possibly closer to BM Barely Nude at a guess, but either way the results and performance are virtualy the same on me.
I love this and highly recommend giving it a go 🙂

I use this as a great under eye base for my eye shadows. This gives me budge proof eyeshadow for all day wear and is dirt cheap. They had these on sale recently. I hope they never discontinue these gems. I wish this were a twist pencil. I will buy these as long as they make them and keep this formula in tact.

I wanted to like these after seeing them on YouTube be reviewed by SNL XO I am not a fan of these at all they are okay going on but once they’re on I don’t know they kind of feel like glue or something I’m just not a fan of the quality of the product and the texture of it it’s kind of annoying

Fantastic colour, It will suit everybody! Only issues I have with this product are:
– Its next to impossible to find a wide enough sharpener, once the product has gone down!
– It also tends to crease a little bit on dry lids, so be sure to moisturise.
Other than these two things, its great!

I really like using this in my waterline and as a base all over my lid up to my brow bone and it stays put. You have to work fairly quickly or do one eye at a time because if you don’t it gets hard to blend and then it sets and you’ll have to use an oil-based makeup remover (I use Mineral Fusion Oil Cleansing Makeup Remover for removing all my makeup and I love it) to get it off. I’ve also used it under my eye to brighten up that area and it works ok, but not great so I just use it as it’s intended and it’s wonderful.
This product is HG status for a light eye base and nude liner for the waterline and at just $3.89 (at K-Mart) you really can’t beat it. As an eye shadow base you don’t need much product for it to become completely opaque and cover veins and discoloration, so even with daily use one pencil should last at least 6 months. I only wear makeup 2 or 3 times a week, so this will last me over a year. What a deal!

I LOVE this it is a great primer on my extremely oily eyelids.

This is a perfect matte ivory color pencil for the inner lower waterline if you want to make your eyes look bigger and brighter. It is not too expensive and I actually think it looks more flattering on my eyes than the shimmer champagne pencil I was using before. If you line your upper water line with a black pencil, make sure it is one that dries fast and is water proof, because I find the creaminess of this Jordana pencil makes any black product used on the eyes stick to it easily and it turns into a weird gray color when that happens (hope that makes sense). As an eyeshadow I find it works best when used without a primer because it looks chalky with a base. By itself it is nice but when blended the pigmentation smudges and fades away. So I guess this could work as an eye shadow base?
Anyway, I HATE that this comes in a wooden pencil form. Having to sharpen it is such a hassle (and such a waste of product). I have NO CLUE why the company didn’t make this a retractable pencil product. I looked like an idiot when I first got it trying to turn the bottom end of the pencil clockwise without any results.
So I have a love hate relationship with this product. I wouldn’t repurchase it.

This stuff is amazing! This is flesh tone (for me). It’s cheap, so easy to apply and blend. There’s no odor and all other products stay in place. Look for further for a DS eye shadow primer if you are fair to medium skin tone.

I love this. But I have never bought it for my self. But I have used someone else’s before. I will by it for my self soon though. I love this product. I love this brand I think it is wonderful. And a great base to. Who ever buy’s this will not regret buying it. I think it would be a wonderful investment. I have had no problems using it. I do have the same one’s just different colors. Like a blue, and a pink. I also love those also. I think they are very pigmidtid. I definitely do not regret buying the one’s I have. I think the work wonderful and they are a great eyeshadow to have. I think everyone she at least try it out. I know a lot of people never heard of this eyeshadow or this brand before. That to me is really sad. I think one day I will buy all of them.
