I will always have a tin of this perfume on hand.
It smells so gorgeous.
The site says it has “Lilac, Magnolia Leaves, Heliotrope, Ylang Ylang, Hyacinth and subtle notes of Nectarine” in there, but really the lilac is the most prominent scent with a slight vanilla. I don’t know much about perfuming but I believe the other ingredients are there to “lift?” the lilac scent, not to be scents unto themselves because you can`t really smell them. Does that make sense?
It is a natural product and therefore the scent is not super strong. I would say the scent last as long as any natural lipstick’s colour would last. I reapply as often as needed which I don’t mind one bit because I get a fresh burst of this wonderful perfume every time. I use french lilac most everyday and one tin has lasted me at least four seasons and there’s still some left (I wear scents by the season).
Allergies: I don’t have any, neither does my bf but he sometimes complains it irritates his eyes. So I put it on when I leave the house and usually it has worn out by the end of the day. Is this a positive? YES!!! I can`t stand when women don`t know that their big brand perfume lingers for more than a day and they keep piling it on. Overwhelming. Perfume should be subtle enough make someone want to come closer, not repel them away. This one is easily balanced and pretty hard to make overwhelming.
I will buy every solid perfume this line has to offer and as long as they stay true to their eco mandate, I will be loyal for life. I already have french lilac(spring/summer scent), tahitian gardenia(spring/summer), Tibetan mountain temple(fall/winter scent), and spanish amber(fall/winter scent). All are gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!!!!! And at $10! How can you go wrong?
P.S. I used to be strictly a Dior girl when it came to fragrance: Diorissimo being my one and only for years. But I now prefer Pacifica. Wish they would make a lily of the valley.

Well geez, I really wanted to like this perfume, it seemed to have so many good reviews and I loved the purple packaging, I nearly blind bought a whole heap of it online just based on that but I’m so glad I didn’t. I don’t really know what lilacs smell like, I haven’t grown up around them or anything so I guess I was just hoping for some pleasant light floral smelling perfume. I managed to track a little pot of the solid perfume on my lunch break and probably made the mistake of testing it at work (being in a little office with poor ventilation) it was just a overpowering soap smell, like laundry powder maybe, I think if I had covered myself in laundry powder and walked in the room it would have smelt the same, but I think in the end I decided it just smelt like a strong Imperial Leather soap smell. It was not really nice at all, I mean it wasn’t bad if you’re going for that super clean chemical smell, but I just couldn’t understand why people love it so much. I might throw it in the garage to freshen up the car/man smells but as a perfume no way.

I actually own this scent in the perfume spray. I’ve tried various renditions of lilac over the years, from a super-cheap Alyssa Ashley thing in the ’80s, to Yves Rocher’s Pur Desir, to Highland Lilac, and this one is by far my favorite. Vegan, natural and cruelty-free too!
A lot of lilac soliflores smell overly sweet and cloying, and the drydown often includes an indolic (“poopy” or musty) note, which leads many people to believe lilac scents belong on elderly ladies in ruffled shirts. Not this lilac scent! It’s full-on, deep purple lilac, but minus any excessive sweetness and minus indoles. Just fresh, romantic, and lovely!

I like this product because it is portable and smells fresh and delicious. It is very floral and feminine. My only complaint is that the scent needs to be reapplied rather frequently.

I was excited to try this based on the reviews and very attractive price! Sadly, my experience was of a pretty, lilac scented toilet freshener. Sorry.

Oh, how I adore this fragrance. Never smelled a truer lilac scent. This solid smells more like lilacs than lilacs themselves do, haha. I can’t wait to go out and purchase the spray perfume to match.
The solid I carry with me during school and apply throughout the day, maybe twice if I feel like it- to the ends of my hair and the hair behind my ears, usually. The scent lasts far longer this way; I’ve mentioned in other reviews that there is a page on Pacifica’s site for tips on how to make these perfumes last longer, and again, I recommend reading it. The most true lilac scent I’ve ever smelled. It’s actually quite strong, but it is divine! I use this scent in April since lilacs have always reminded me of the rain. We had a gorgeous lilac tree right next to our house when I was growing up, so this is a very special fragrance that brings me back to those warm, rainy days of spring where I ran around looking for worms to put in the compost pile (which sounds gross but it makes me really happy). I’ve always been a fan of jasmine and similar fragrances, so this is right up my alley. I do feel like this is a bit too strong for really hot summer days, but it would be great year round otherwise. I exclusively use Pacifica fragrances now and this is definitely in the top 5 (along with Avalon Juniper, Spanish Amber, Mediterranean Fig, and Bali Lime Papaya). Such a beautiful, classic scent. I can’t get enough of it!
