I just got this color on my toes for the 2nd pedi in row. I love it on me. It’s my perfect go-with-everything red. I am buying a bottle so I will never have to go without and can have it around for touch ups. It’s wears darker than it looks in the bottle, which I actually like. It reminds me of the old Revlon color Cherries in the Snow but a tad darker. To me it is a deep and dark cherry red, leaning towards cranberry. Just enough blue in it to make it super rich looking but not enough to have purple undertones. Just a solid cool red. In the past i strictly stuck to OPI for my brights and darks, only wore the sheer pinks and french mani colors of Essie on my finger nails. But I am glad I tried this because this color was a workhorse! This is kind of embarrassing, but I was able to go 4 weeks between pedicures without major wear.

Love this. Hands-down my favorite red, and quite possibly my favorite polish in my collection right now. Other reviewers have done a good job describing the shade, it’s cool deep red that goes on a bit darker than it appears in the bottle. It’s hard to describe the appeal, it just looks good with anything and it’s what I reach for when I don’t know what to put on. I wear it on fingers and toes. It’s creamy and opaque, and you could get away with one thick coat (though I always do two). I get about 2-3 days before I notice some tip wear, but it’s easy to touch-up. It looks good on my toes for about 2 weeks. This might be the first polish I’ve considered buying a back-up of. Essie’s polishes are hit or miss for me, but this one nails it.

This color is a chameleon. Under the yellow lights of my bathroom, it looks like a nice blue based red. Under the softer lighting in my living room, it looks almost like a cherry red. Under my day lamp in my makeup room, it looks like a deep vampy red. The formula is absolutely perfect. Two coats yields opaque coverage. It levels out so nicely and leaves a beautiful crelly finish. I usually don’t like reds on me very much but I’ve worn this often since I got it.

I am not sure what it is about this color but I love it. It doesn’t appear to be anything special other than a deeper red, but on my hands it makes them seem delicate and elegant. I saw another poster said it would probably suit fair skin better, but I have olive skin and it looks great. The only problem I have, which I have with a lot of Essie polishes, is the formula which can be a little streaky.

A very nice ruby red, with blue undertones. I think it is a great alternative to all those dark red wine hues out there. Suits really aired skinned hands better, I think.

Nice cool red color – at least on me it looks more like a bluish red. Two coats and this stuff is completely opaque. I like it but as many have already written, it is not unique. I would repurchase and like the formulation.

Great color, but not unique at all. On the nail it just looks like any old dark red.
If you don’t have a dark red in your stash, by all means, go get this – quality is good and application is terrific! But if you are like me and own gazillion of polishes, spend your mullah on something more unique.

Really lovely colour! A magenta-ish red (or a reddish magenta!), applies lovely and is very opaque. I haven’t used Essie much and I got this in a set of 4 minis, but this polish is definitely the reason why I’m going to keep trying more!

I don’t know why this has got such average reviews, I think this is such a great red that looks beautiful on fingers or toes. Not too orange, not not dark, just a gorgeous creme red. Agree that it does seem to chip more easily than some other Essie colours but I get 3-4 days out of it and it’s still a great addition to your 2011 varnishes.

Nothing about this color is special to me… it’s a pretty deep red, good for the holidays but it’s been done a hundred times. I ordered this online from an eTailer having a special so I just bought the entire Essie holiday set when it came out.
The red is SOO much darker on my nails than in the bottle. I actually like the color in the bottle better. The formula is THICK, goopy and doesn’t spread very evenly! You could get by with one coat, but I did two and Seche Vita top coat. It really doesn’t wear very well. I had chipping after just a couple days and usually can wear other Essie colors much longer.
Would not buy again and wouldn’t recommend.
