Since I loved Reign of Studs, the lavender color in this collection, I assumed I’d love this one, too. It looks AMAZING in the bottle, but unfortunately on my nails it was a lumpy ugly mess. The formula is goopy and it didn’t dry into the cool matte look RoS did. Bummer. I returned it to CVS.

This is a texturized polish from L’Oreal’s Gold Dust collection and one of my favorites! I love the complexity of it and how the color changes as you move your hands around or look at it in the sun. The base is a darkened eggplant that’s packed with different sized gold, lilac and raspberry colored glitter. My only complaint is that I wish the golden glitter/shimmer that seems prevalent in the bottle would show up more on the nail! The formula is great though, it’s one of the thicker ones of the collection but not so thick it’s unmanageable. You can manage to get full coverage in one coat and the wear on this one is fantastic. Overall it’s a gorgeous color and I highly recommend! LOVE!

Sexy in Sequins is a textured glitter polish from the Colour Riche Gold Dust Collection released for January 2014. This is a beautiful deep purple polish and is a mix of purple, lavendar, and raspberry glitters suspended in a violet jelly base. This is a glitter but it dries matte and has sparkle but it isn’t an in your face sparkle and glitter blinder. The violet purple shade is the base and it is more like matte, and then when you move your hand the lavendar and raspberry glitters catch the light and reflect it back showing off their beauty. The texture on this is bumpy but it is not gritty at all. It’s a smooth roughness if that makes sense. This is totally opaque in 1 coat. I struggled at first with this polish as it is so much more dense than a creme and it really took a bit of maneuvering to apply this as the glitter simply does not glide on or spread out well. It pulls okay but does not want to push so it took a very careful hand applying this to get even edges. Once I got past the first couple of nails, then I had it down, but when you are used to thinner spreadable glideable cremes, this took a bit more effort. This polish absolutely does not run, drip, or flood your cuticles and it has magnificent full coverage in 1 coat. This does dry fairly fast too and I did not use a fast drying top coat. I did some stamping over this and it was a great surface for stamping on. This stuff wears like iron. I am loving this polish so much right now. I have had this on for 6 days and it has some tip wear and a little more than I normally get, but remember I did not add a protective top coat either. I had no chipping at all. Even the tip wear wasn’t too bad. The manicure still looks great and the only reason I am removing it is because my nails get one spa day a week to go naked and soak up lots of moisturizing cuticle oil. Removal of this was a little more work than a creme, but not as bad as an all out glitter bomb. I liked this polish so well that I went back and picked up the rest of the collection!
