I was in Ulta and they had buy 2 get 1 free select body/bath stuff. I had been wanting the Pacifica spray, but was not sure what else to get, so I picked up a couple of these Hempz body lotions.
Oh my goodness this smells WONDERFUL!!! I am not one to really get jazzed over the scent of a body lotion, but this one makes me SWOON!!!! I just want to take a bath in this (going to look for a body wash in this scent the next time I am at Ulta) in this!! And I am not one to want to ‘bathe’ in a scent!! LOL
As for how this performs….I would say this is a basic ‘medium’ moisturizer. It is not a heavy duty one that I would use if I had truly dry skin, but it is more moisturizing than many of the lightweight ones I have tried over the years. Does not feel greasy and absorbs pretty quickly. The soft subtle scent does stay, so if you like the scent or don’t like the scent, that may or may not be a deal-breaker for you, if your nose is sensitive to scents. But this is not an overly strong scent, and my nose is pretty sensitive and has no issues at all with this.
Unfortunately it appears this is Limited Edition, but the bottle is enormous, so it will last me a long time, especially because I got another Hempz lotion. These are a little on the pricey side, so I would say if you can pick one up on sale, check them out!! But I would also say if your skin is severely dry (rough patches, scaly, that sort of thing), this probably won’t be moisturizing or hydrating enough. Then again, maybe it will..? All I know is it makes my skin feel soft and “comfortable”…
I do see Ulta has this listed as having shea butter, which I like that scent, and it also says rose extract, which surprises me a little, because I am not a fan of the rose scent (allergies), but it is just in the background enough to not bother me, and actually is a complimentary scent to the other scents.
If you enjoy body lotions that work fairly decently and smell absolutely glorious, I would suggest checking this out, or one of the other Hempz lotions that might appeal to you scent-wise…They are great ‘pampering’ type products that can lift your mood!!
