I wish reviewers would find another outlet to comment about potentially false reviews and not leave negative scores/reviews as actual product reviews. It’s hard enough to sift through and find legit reviews.
That having been said, I purchased this device about a year ago instead of the Baby Quasar because I couldn’t justify spending so much on yet another gadget to add to my closet of anti aging gear. And i have to say, this thing works and I’ve seen results. My skin glows and looks more plump after using the red light and the green and blue even out my skin tone.
I did notice some usual side effects when overusing this device. The muscles and tendons in my face will feel odd for a couple days and sometimes, even my teeth will feel a bit sore. I wonder if if penetrates enough to have some sort of effect on nerves and muscles. Really unexpected. Particularly with my teeth when I hold the device in front of my mouth. It doesn’t feel like it’s damaging, but it does seem to stimulate something and it’s very noticeable.
Anyway, I thjnk this a pretty powerful little device. It doesn’t have a rugged, or heavy duty housing, but the light is powerful. Defo has a positive impact on my skin. Not so much for the teeth tho.

I really, REALLY wanted to like this product….I was so psyched!
Ok….so, after having an LED photofacial….I had to run out and get an LED light. Yes, I saw the Baby Quasar, but didn’t want to shell out so much. The Sirius brand seemed like a great idea to get started with, especially looking at the reviews on Amazon.
Flash forward a few weeks: No change
Still no change a few weeks later.
So, just to test the waters and see if I was crazy, I bought yet ANOTHER brand and tested THAT one. (That I actually paid less for.)To my surprise, I got almost immediate results.
I feel pretty safe in saying either a.These are too weak to get the job done or
or b.Not having a rim around the edge allows to much light to escape….
Sorry to say that I am disappointed in this product.

I have been around here awhile and have quite a few reviews so I hope this one will be viewed as reliable by those reading about this device. I completely understand anyone being suspicious of some of the reviews.
I have been using this off and on for about 2 years. This is my take-
1) When I use the red and green lights I definitely see improvement in my skin in that it glows, seems plumper, my pores seem smaller and my redness is reduced. I have mild rosacea and very sensitive skin.
2). It is easy to disconnect the cord from the device. I still do it all the time. Trust me, it gets annoying.
3) It has a flimsy feel .
4) The placement of the light in relation to the housing is such that the light is not recessed. This is an issue for me in pulsing mode because the light is so bright that I get a headache even with goggles.
5) It is great on the backs of your hands!
6) I had a question quickly answered by email, but have heard some customer service stories that did not get such a good result.
If I had it to do over again I would buy the Baby Quasar which I have used and which is sturdier and has a recessed light . The BQ is considerably more expensive but I think worth it. If you cannot afford the BQ then the Sirius might be a good introduction to this type of device. I intend to buy the BQ and give this Sirius to my sister to try out.

Makeup Alley reviewers beware – if you check the 4 and 5 star reviews on this product and click on “more reviews by” the person who wrote the reviews, almost all of them have only reviewed 2 products – the Sirius Aurora Light Therapy System and the Sirius Beauty Pulsar – all coincidentally rave reviews for both products and *only* these 2 products. There are also warnings on the Amazon reviews, suspecting the same questionable reviews. I flagged all of these reviews and I hope MUA removes them to keep this site reliable with neutral, nonbiased reviews only. I will NOT be buying this product just because the reviews are obviously slanted.

Right… And I guess almost 100 reviews for the Aurora on Amazon (basically all “Amazon verified purchase”), reviews on various beauty blogs and youtube videos, as well as 18 reviews for the company’s Skinsonic brush here on MA (all positive) going back more than 2 years were all posted by the company as well. And they probably created over 7000 Facebook likes themselves too)))
In my opinion, the only thing shady here is beautydork’s review. After she returned the product, the company charged her a restocking fee and refunded her money. What an “outrage” and how “shady”! You’ve got to be kidding

Good catch Seiran!!!! If you look at their reviews, they are both from the same company! I think I’ll go with beautydork’s review and not buy this thing or anything else from this company! How damn shady can people be???!!! just wow!

I’ve done a lot of research and the Aurora is by far the most effective light therapy system currently on the market. I am using all three lights — red and blue lights for acne (I have acne-prone skin), red light for wrinkles (don’t have any major ones yet but several minor ones), and the green light for pigmentation. After thee weeks I definitely see substantial improvement in my skin’s tone and texture. Even if you don’t have wrinkles, I would still recommend using the red light because it increases collagen and elastin production and makes your skin supple so you feel like after a facial. I’ve also noticed that my skin tone became much more even and less blotchy. It’s really amazing that lights can have such a dramatic effect.

I like my Aurora a lot. Skeptical at first but considering I have tried everything, decided to buy it to see if it would have any positive effect. I have rosacea and the red light really helped a lot. Within one week the redness in my face was diminished, and my whiteheads and blackheads have lessened. I also use the blue light to reduce oiliness. Using both red and blue lights is time somewhat consuming, but it’s definitely worth it. Especially because I can do other things when doing treatments. If you have endured rosacea as long as I have, the Aurora is a godsend.

I was skeptical about using a device like this and it’s working. After about 2 weeks of using Aurora twice a day I started noticing my skin becoming smoother. . after about a month, my skin had become clearer, smoother, and my pore size shrank a little! When I did have a breakout it didn’t seem to be as bad as I was used to. To see results I needed to be very consistent with using it at least once a day, but sometimes I just didn’t feel like sitting there holding this device to my face. Overall, I’d recommend this to adults who suffer from some light acne and larger pore size. The device itself is nice, compact, and travels well. Definitely worth a try!
