The color looks like a wonderfully every day pink in the tube, but on my lips it was a light, baby pink that just didn’t work. I have light, cool pink skin. The texture was great and it went on very smooth and opaque. It stayed creamy though and never “dried down.” I wasn’t expecting matte lipstick, but it didn’t like how wet it stayed. Overall, I like the Revolution formula, but this color just didn’t work for me.

I’m new to UD lipsticks however I am quite good friends with one of the counter ladies from my local store so I decided she would be the best to visit to get what I was looking for. I wanted a pink or nude lipstick that had a minor grey undertone as I had seen several people rocking it. Within seconds she had picked Native up and was swatching it against my skin tone to make sure it would look okay.
I’m the sort of girl that doesn’t like to line my lips as I am super lazy so I like how this one doesn’t bleed or come off easily when I wear it. I also like how it looks against my awkward neither-cool-neither-warm tone. I’ve never had so many compliments about my lip colour so I think this is going to become my statement lipstick.
Well worth the money and I would highly recommend it!
Also if you use Ether eyeliner under it you can make a gorgeous grey colour!

*I specifically reactivated this account to shout my love of UD Revolution lipsticks. I’m choosing a few specific shades, though the formula review is the same for the ENTIRE line, in my experience. *
Native is one of the lightest Revolution shades I’ve bought, It’s a light, pale pink-described as warm-toned but doesn’t wash my cooler complexion out. It’s opaque, and not at all shimmery, but still very creamy and lush. I prefer to apply it with a slightly lighter hand than the dark shades, as layers of light shades tend to look fake on me; this might not be case for others with more pigmented lips. It’s a fun, everyday colour and I specifically like to pair it with a bolder eye, even more so when I’m a bit tanner than usual.
So much thought and quality control went into the creation of this line–a full range of conditioning lipsticks, in various tones of opacity and translucence, in a bunch of shades that are really fun for experimenting AND for understated daytime looks. The price is right for such a quality product, and I’ve never detected any scents or flavours.
((All Urban Decay products are vegetarian and cruelty-free; some are specifically vegan. Revolution lipsticks are only specified as cruelty-free and vegetarian.))

I had always thought Native (pale muted pink) was too warm for my NW20 skin for some reason or maybe I thought it was too close to Creme Cup…IDK. I finally caved and purchased it and it really suprised me. Most colors adjust or turn on me. So I will swatch them on my inner arm and wait. I swatched this and MAC Creme Cup next to each other and swatched my MAC Well Dressed blush along the bottom of both swatches. At first Creme Cup and Well Dressed matched perfectly. I regretted buying Native. But then, after they had a chance to do what ever my skin does to colors (I pull a lot of orange or brown out of colors), something shifted. Suddenly, Native matched Well Dressed perfectly and Creme Cup looked less complimentary. Now don’t get me wrong, Creme Cup still totally works. But Native gives me a slightly more muted /monochromatic look that allows my eyes to sparkle. I have no idea which shade I like better. Creme Cup was my staple for years. Now I am giving Native a go. Time will tell.

I really like this lipstick. In some lights on me, its a pinky nude, and in others it appears to be quite rosey and really flattering. The packaging is stunning- I love UD packaging in general. As this was my first UD lipstick, I had high hopes. I wore it overtop of a buxom lipliner, and it generally held up. I had to definitely reapply about twice, usually after eating, as the moisture it has (which is great) kinda disappears. However, the color for me stayed, and it didn’t flutter into any lines or smudge. It’s a great pink, or even a pink nude if you’re looking for one. I will repurchase!

Gorgeous color! Very soft pink and very creamy. Love the formula, however it does not last long. For $22 it’s too much.

This lipstick is very creamy, non-drying, and pigmented. It is a very pretty light pink for when you want a nude lip that won’t completely disappear. One or two swipes is all you need, and it wears for a decent amount of time. The thing I love about these lipsticks is that they are not drying at all and I don’t have to worry about wearing balm underneath or in between applications.

Native is a cool toned pastel pink, which takes my natural lip color down a couple of shades. It’s almost too pale for my fair complexion, but it’s ok applied lightly. Too much on my complexion results in that “porn star pink” look I try to avoid. It’s very similar to Naked, but Naked is a little more natural MLBB color that I will probably reach for more. If you have one of these colors, you might not need both. I think this formula goes on a little dry, but wear was average and it didn’t seem to dry my lips out, It’s ok, but I won’t repurchase as it’s not that unique of a color.

I think the last two comments on here are written by same person, as they use the exact same verbage of “pale pink, with soft worm pigmented tones” – suspicious
however, this is my first review and i will say im disappointed. i tried this color on in the UD store a few times. I liked the way it looked and felt. But the color was never in stock. So when i finally did find it i purchased it last week. I put it on this morning at 8:15 am and by 11 am it was almost completely gone, and i felt the need for a chapstick for moisture. For 22$ i would expect it to last longer than 2 hrs..

It’s a warm-toned, light-medium pink with a glossy sheen. It had opaque color payoff, and it applied evenly. It wore for ages on me and it didn’t transfer onto things when I blotted it down.
I find it hard to wear pale pinks, but this one is very flattering and super girly.
