I must be one of the lucky ones because this perfume lasts long on me!!!!
I instantly fell in love with this one last year when I went to VS and tested it out but didn’t get a bottle.
By the time I planned on getting it it was always sold out at the 2 stores I go to in my area lol so since I heard it was being discontinued I got online & hunted down a big bottle for a excellent price.
I smell all the notes the 1st being the caramel then mango & the almond blossom..all 3 make a beautiful blend<3 I literally can't get enough of it!!!! Anytime I've worn this I get complimented & asked what perfume am I wearing....I definitely wouldn't call this a so called "dark" scent but IMO its a very sexy even mysterious scent.
The longevity is easily 6 or more hours on me!!!! The silliage I find to be moderate.....This is a wonderful scent for the fall/winter months BUT I think this would work nice in the spring & even summer as long as you don't overload when applying & keep it light.
**VS Rapture has always been my signature scent since highschool back in the 90's but as of now its being retired and Dark Angel has taken over & is my new signature scent!!!!!**
The bottle is super cute with the wings on it!
I snagged me another 3.4oz bottle of this along with 2 bottles of the matching body lotion since its being discontinued but I hope VS brings this back in the future<3

So sexy. On my skin the mango really stands out at first, then the caramel latte scent mixes in. It’s just so sexy I can’t even think of another adjective to describe it! I love it. Perfect staying power also. Lasts all day and night after just one spray.

I got this for the $25 perfume sale they were having. Being a brand new perfume, this was a blind buy for me, since I purchased online. First off, the bottle looked gorgeous in the pic, but in person, the plastic black wings look tacky. I can tell you… the box it came in… GORGEOUS! Black shiny box covered in multi-sparkle glitter… I like the box better than the bottle! 🙂 Let’s talk about the juice… the notes are almond flower, mango nectar, and caramel latte. The first time I sprayed this, the mango note was really prominent, along with a floral note that didn’t smell like almond flower. You could smell the caramel right off the bat, and I thought, omg… this is too sweet for me! That mango note died down a bit, and what’s left is a warm, gourmand fragrance with a hint of sandalwood (there is no sandalwood listed in the notes). I smell no “latte” or coffee note at all, either. I thought for sure I was going to have to return it, or gift it away to someone else. But I tried it again the next day, and then it wasn’t so sweet anymore. It was actually ok. It smelled nice. It smelled GOOD. It wraps you in this warm, cozy feeling. I have been mixing this with PINK Naughty is Nice body mist (new for the holidays, which by the way is a frickin’ gorgeous scent!), and it blends wonderfully together. The dry down of Dark Angel is beautiful to me. It smells like a woodsy, gourmand sexy scent, but dries down to more of a skin scent. This fragrance doesn’t last long, so I have to re-spray during the day. While I do like it… I would not re-purchase due to the longevity of the perfume, and the high price tag. Maybe if it was on clearance or they had a huge sale on it… then I would consider re-purchasing. But for $52 buckaroos… no.

Medium/deep plum purple glossy polish. It doesn’t chip easily and it doesn’t need a top coat to look finished. Very sexy, intriguing shade.

Find this quite streaky at first, but works better and is more true to colour when a base coat and top coat are used. I use nails inc soho silk base coat, with seche vite quick drying top coat. The end product once its dry is stunning! Works for me!

Teflon tuff. Beautiful deep purple that elicits compliments from a lot of people. Love.

I had been using China Glaze for a while, but to get “bottle optic” color I needed a base cost, two coats of white, two or three coats of color and two top coats of fast dry/gloss. Sure, it was gorgeous but holy catfish, that’s a lot of work – kinda therapeutic, but really. When I got this polish, I did that same thing on one hand and just two coats of color and the MAC dryer/gloss – even after a week long test, I couldn’t tell the difference. MAC has always bragged how very pigmented their products are and I must say, this lives up to those claims. No chips, no wear, just color. But I DO think the CG dryer/gloss is shiner, but it does like two coats. And MAC does give you 10ml versus 5ml, so it’s really not that bad, if you like the color, that is – lol

I wanted to splurge and I’ve been looking for a dark purple that does not look black when using 2 or 3 coats. The price was way more than I would normally pay for a nail polish but I treated myself when ordering some things from Macy’s recently. First of all, the brush had a couple mutant strands that had to be trimmed off before using. I used a Sally Hansen base coat first, let dry, then applied one coat of Dark Angel. I am LOVING IT. One nice coat covered well with very little streaking. It dried rather quickly to a nice shiny finish. I will put on another coat today and then follow with a clear coat. I probably won’t buy again but might try another Mac polish in the future if I need to pamper myself. In quality, this polish compares to the Nailwear Pro line by Avon, however, their plum color turns black. In price, Mac is about $10 more than Avon’s.
Addition: Went to put on a second coat tonight. The fibers on the brush are sticking out all over the place. What’s with that? I could use the brush but was a bit miffed that I spent the bucks for this? The color does good glossy and awesome. Used Revlon Quick Dry after second coat to ensure drying before I had to put on coat to go put up daughter from b-ball. That stuff works great.

I love this polish. I only had to use 2 coats unlike the other reviewers that had to use 3. It was streaky after one coat, but after two it evened out. I used a base and top coat. The color is lighter than the jar. I love it though, vampy, and not to crazy for work! I gave the packaging only 3 because I don’t think MAC’s polish package is the best, they don’t close very tight. Mine was cheap because I picked it up at the CCO. If I needed to, I would repurchase.

I love this colour, it’s a little darker than the bottle colour, a smooth creamy purple. It works very well on shorter nails and manages to avoid looking too understated or OTT like some dark polishes can.
I’vejust bought my second bottle and I’ve noticed that the texture is a bit thinner, which means being a little more careful with application, but even by the end of the previous bottle it hadn’t thickened too much to use. So for me it seems a good comprimise, I’ve already thrown out enough bottles that got too thick and lumpy to apply with half of the product still left in them.

This is a gorgeous little trio with a shimmery light silver, a sparkly charcoal mid toned gray, and a pretty raspberry shade. Perfect fall colors, right? Especially with a silver/gray eye look in this fall. I was so excited to try this I had such high hopes for this and was sooo disappointed. This was difficult to get out of the pan with a brush and I really had to go over and over it to get any product up. This went on sheer over eye primer and didn’t have much color at all. I tried to work with this but finally in frustration, I closed this up and grabbed the same shades from other palettes and finished my eye look with them instead of struggling to get any color from these. These shadows are blendable, but you really have to build them up for any color. You can do it, but there are a lot of other products better pigmented and with less effort ot get the same payoff. I have pulled this out a couple of times and given it a try, but it isn’t like there was a harder outer layer with a soft shadow beneath. These aren’t getting any better with succussive attempts. I guess I am spoiled using WnW or UD with better formulas. They simply don’t have the pigment I was looking for and the color payoff I was expecting from the pretty pans. It’s such a shame because the shadows are pretty they just don’t come out like that. Don’t bother with this trio and buy something else. For less than half the cost of this you can get much better pigment, blendability and ease of use from WnW. Even on sale, this isn’t worth it.

The color looks exactly like in the bottle – but you need to apply 3 coats, otherwise its very streaky! (I haven’t had this with any other polish!) The result is a beautiful, opaque dark purple with no shimmer, which I like. Stayed on ok, did not chip faster than my other polishes (with base+topcoat).

awful.
It doesnt look anything like the color advertised when on the nail. I had to do ATLEAST 3 coats, wait forever for it to dry, and have it chip the very next day and for $11!!! no, no, no.
I will never buy MAC nail polish, EVER again.

A lovely dark purple/plum colour, nice on shorter nails. Can come out streaky on the first coat but by the second layer it disappears. Adorable
