I purchased this product assuming that the exfoliating beads would be natural raspberry seeds similar to the apricot scrub but I was SO disappointed to find out that Yves Rocher – a company dedicated to environmental sustainability and is seemingly “based on the treasures of the botanical world” with initiatives such as Plant for the Planet and a company that is against animal testing would decide that plastic microbeads were an acceptable ingredient in their product is beyond me. For shame!
I would have never guessed that Yves Rocher would be one of the companies that still uses microbeads after recent news about it’s impact on our sea and marine life. In my opinion the plastic microbeads are useless in this product anyways. I’ve been a long time customer of Yves Rocher because I loved the fact that they care for the environment as well as it’s inhabitants.Unfortunately this is no longer true and I will no longer shop there until they discontinue products with plastic microbeads.
Please educate yourselves and ban the microbead! Consumers CAN make a difference – stop supporting companies that refuse to make the ever-growing pollution in the ocean a priority.
