The fragrance is overwhelming. I even put the bars outside, hoping that the fresh air would eliminate the objectionable fragrance, but no such luck. Fortunately, in the shower there was no evidence of the fragrance. The bar produced a lot of suds on my washcloth, which I liked, and I felt my skin was clean, but not overly dry. I couldn’t see any evidence of exfoliation.

most dove bars break out my back and chest like no other but this one doesn’t. it’s not super exfoliating but it must be enough to ensure that my acne prone areas get cleaned properly as I’ve also experienced no irritation from inflamed, clogged pores. on the rest of my body this leaves my skin so incredibly smooth to the point where I could totally skip lotion and be just fine. it’s more expensive than most bar soaps as it’s 2 for $3 and some change plus tax where as the Ivory bars I used previously to this were the same price for a whole pack of 8 bars…but as a treat to myself and the fact that this bar is so huge compared to Ivory individual bars this is a good value in my opinion. the only thing I will say is that this is not exfoliating enough for a pre-shave product for the legs but for everything else it does I can live with this.

Ok guys I love this soap and it may not be for what you think. Yesterday I was looking at different DYI makeup brush cleaners and some used olive oil with soap and some used vinegar with soap . I was not sure the olive oil one would rinse out and the I was unsure about using vinegar would it leave a smell? I went into my bathroom vanity and saw a few of these treasures individually boxed unused. So I opened a new box and had an idea I used the Dove soap to clean my makeup brushes and I mean all of them even the ones that sit in my vanity. So I scrubbed and washed directly on the dove soap and it cleaned my makeup brushes completely I mean some of these brushes I had not washed in a while . They are now being dried in my room on my vanity and hopefully they will be dry tomorrow . I just wanted to share this just if you may have this Dive soap or you want an inexpensive makeup brush cleaner . That same bar of Dove soap will only be used to clean my makeup brushes and it sits on my vanity . I will definitely repurchase this Dove soap when I need some more . And it is gentle on your hands and smells so nice . If you guys want a video of how I cleaned my makeup brushes just let me know.
Quick update I used my makeup brushes and they are like new they smell great and they dried well and bounced back to shape and are soft and work well just like new. I am very happy that I found an inexpensive easy makeup brush cleaner.

I love this soap bar. I came across it entirely by accident. I traveled out of the country and was so impressed with myself that I managed to pack a huge suitcase for a 10 day trip in one evening. That is, until I got to the hotel and realized I had forgotten my face wash. I was devastated because I have pretty awful skin. Acne prone, oily, pore clog easily. I had been using a medicated face wash and my skin was decent, and without that face wash I knew that surely, due to sweating in a hot climate, and chemical SPFs I would break out like a madwoman.
All that I had access to was this Dove bar. I reluctantly washed my face with this for a few nights since there wasn’t a pharmacy in the area.
By day 3, there were no breakouts. And in actuality, my skin looked better than it had in months, my acne was healing, and the most impressive part was that my face was NOT dry. Using medicated face washes, my face would always be oily but with flaky skin, mainly on my nose/chin. With this Dove bar, nothing. I wasn’t even moisturizing either.
It’s been three months since I started using this bar on my face, and I don’t see myself ever stopping. No skin flakes, no acne, pores are 75% better in regards to sebum clogs (I still have issues on the nose, but it takes much longer for the sebum to accumulate now, and I just fix it with a quick Biore strip).
I’ve recently started using it on my body as well. My body is SEVERELY acne prone due to chemicals and fragrance in most products. If I even spray perfume on my neck area I will break out in huge cysts. So far so good with this soap on my body, it also smells really nice.
And bonus: It’s very convenient to go into the shower and have ONE bar of soap for everything! Face and body. Previously I had to bring multiple products into the shower just to make sure I wouldn’t break out!

The only soap I will ever use smells so clean and fresh like linen and cleanses so well leaves my skin refreshed and radiant looking I can see why so many woman swear by this soap it really lives up to the hype its awesome!

This product smells and feels great on skin. Doesnt do much exfoliating though.

my fave of all dove soaps. loved the nutrium pink bars, they had white and pink stripes but those are d/c. and these exfoliating bars are even better.
the smell is different than the original and also from any of the others. its an amazing smell. you can use the soap itself as a loofah since it has little beads. beads made of organic matter like apricot kernal are rough-edged and can damage you, but these manufactured blue beads are not harsh.
since its so cheap you can really lather up too, which feels nice. you can’t do that with lush products.

Love this moisturizing soap! Leaves my skin moisturizerized and soft but not oily. And gently exfoliates leaving my skin looking healthy. And has a night light scent.

I am a dove lover – my cabinet is full of the soaps…however the absolutely best one for your face to make it clear and beautiful is this exfoliating bar – I don’t use it for that purpose, just to wash with – I first use baby oil wipe off with warm wet wash cloth and then wash with the dove bar and my skin is just freaking fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have used this for about 8 years and I still stock up.
