O.h. m.y. g.o.s.h. I am panicking. I just ran out and realized that I cannot get anymore of this product unless I am willing to pay $30 per bottle. It was about $14 at Ulta and I used the $3.50 coupon. So that’s a big increase. I asked the lady at Ulta why they were selling them half price and she said probably new packaging. LIES! They were discontinuing them. If I only knew I would have scoured the surrounding cities for all the bottles. I use both Coast to Coast and Mario Badescu Glycolic face wash. But I believe it’s the Coast to Coast that has helped my acne scars get lighter. The other day a Perricone representative told me I had gorgeous skin. What?! No one has told me that since I was in my 20s. I also think the fact that I quit eating dairy products has helped my skin clear up, but I think I finally achieved the perfect cleansing system for my skin. This is such a disappointment. ugh. This is like my favorite eye shadow color being discontinued disappointment. HUGE let down. Also, I had a 24 year old man tell me he thought I was 30. You’re way off son. If I can’t find anything else comparable I might just have to splurge the $30. That’s gotta be worth 20-something year olds thinking you’re closer to their age.

I waited to review this for a LONG time. It used to be carried at Ulta and Sephora for about $14 but some Ulta’s started selling it at 1/2 off, which I then snatched them up. I had been using the moisturizer specifically because the company claimed to not use Propelyne glycols which I’m SURE clog my skin. I loved their moisturizer (which retailed at $25 for an ounce!!) so I grabbed those on sale as well, plus the mask, plus the toner spray. But one of my favorite things is this cleanser. I love the smell of it…I like how it’s an aloe based and gets makeup off but isn’t drying. I mean, I do need to moisturize after and it is a foaming cleanser, but my skin feels soft after using it. I’ve also used it after using an oil or oil cleanser to melt off the makeup, to get the oil and makeup residue off and still get the benefits of this and the hydration of some oil as well without leaving the oil straight on. I had tried the other lines from this brand and this one is my favorite. I only wish the packaging was a little better…It’s a quite liquidy formula so I tend to lean it upside down (opening up) when it’s full so it doesn’t all spill out when I want to use some, and as it gets emptier I put it cap down on the counter like it’s meant to be. But for the size it’s lasted me a good amount of time.
I think the only place to get it (if your ulta doesn’t have it now, since sephora completely doesn’t from what I saw and neither does their websites) is from Coast To Coast Australia site. (Believe me, I’ve checked both sites repeatedly, amazon, ebay, etc) But I would keep buying it. I would probably try their ‘higher end’ line as well.
Update: For those who loved this, it sells for $20 on the Coast to Coast site, which is A LOT for 3.4oz. I am trying DermaDoctor Daily Brightening and seeing if that has a similar effect. It also has the kakadu plum and is aloe based. I will update.
Update 2: The DermaDoctor was a good dupe, but expensive. I think it was more drying though, and I dropped it and the glass bottle shattered all over 🙁 I also notice with the Coast to Coast I would have some makeup on my cotton pad when I toned. So it’s not as stripping but also didn’t remove all of my makeup and I would often forget to tone. I still have a lot of tubes left and I like it, but I’m trying First Aid Beauty’s Cleanser now and I like it so far, so those who were intersted in this and can’t get it, those are two you could try.

This may be my new favorite cleanser! I was using Dermalogica’s Special Cleansing Gel for many, many years, but always wished I could find something a bit better. I’ve used this for 8 days now and I think it’s safe to say that my skin doesn’t react badly to it. This is a huge deal! My skin actually looks better. I have dehydrated, slightly oily, sensitive, clog-prone skin. I use this morning and night, leaving it on for about 60 seconds in the shower. It lightly foams up and smells really nice (though definitely not heavily fragranced). My skin is left clean, smooth, NOT red, NOT irritated, and NOT tight. I have tried so many cleansers in the past, which usually irritate my skin after a couple of days, making it red and bumpy and rough. Not this. I will continue to buy it… got it at Ulta. You can even use coupons on it, sweet. I am excited about this brand in general and will be trying more things.
UPDATE: I went through about 3 tubes of the cleanser, and while I still like it, I just feel like it didn’t really cleanse my skin deeply enough. When I would swipe with a toner, makeup remained on my cotton pad. I have moved on to a Boscia cleanser which I am loving more.
