This hand cream has the same moisturizing properties as the other scents from Crab Tree & Evelyn (Except for Gardener’s Therapy, which is superior)
I got a 12 hand cream tin as a gift and Nantucket Briar is my least favorite scent of the 12. The website describes it as “An eclectic mix of peony and rose with bergamot, vanilla exotic spices”
I don’t detect any sweetness from peony, rose or vanilla. The bergamot is fairly strong. But the overall feel is a very dry, almost aldehydic note that reminds me a room air freshener that my great-Aunt used to use throughout her house in special occasions.
I can picture this scent as something worn by a Palm Beach socialite that comes from old money and refuses to cross the bridge to the mainland, lest she runs into a plebeian. Someone whose small, yet considerable Estate has been in the family for generations and it is still completely decorated in Dorothy Draper chintz.
I don’t find the scent repulsive. In fact, the dry down is quite nice — it reminds me a little bit of Acqua di Parma (but without any of the initial citrus)
The dry down is almost unisex, timeless, still dry, but subtle.
I will wear the rest of this hand cream, but will not repurchase.

I ran out of hand cremes and went to an Asian beauty store in search of KOSÉ CoenRich Astaxanthine Q10. They did not have the aforementioned product. A SA suggested Nantucket Briar Hand Therapy as a replacement and pointed out a discount for the product. So I took her suggestion. I wish I did not.
Although the cream per se is decent, the smell of an old French perfume is ATROCIOUS (sorry for capital letters). The smell lingers on and on. It is impossible to wash it off. This is the first cream I was forced to throw into a trash bin.
I do not advise to buy this product because of smell.

I use a hand lotion every night right before bed and usually use the Gardeners Hand Therapy, but I got bored and wanted to switch it up a little. I think this performed pretty average. It does moisturize my hands but not as good as the Gardeners. Do note however, i sleep in an air conditioned room and my hands can get a tad dry especially after hand washing. After application it usually absorbs pretty easily and doesnt leave my hands greasy the texture is just nice not too thick and not runny either nicely done in the middle, however most of the time, after half an hour to one hour later, i find my hands feeling tight and needing to reapply this lotion again. The morning after, i find my hands to be pretty normal, not soft and silky just normal. Note, that this never happened with the Gardeners. Usually with the Gardeners, I do not need to reapply the lotion, it pretty much kept my hands moisturize until the next morning and usually when I wake up, my hands are pretty soft and silky. Needless to say, this isnt as good as the Gardeners and the price is the same. This lasted me about 6 months with every night usage. I will be switching back to the Gardeners or may try other variant or even other brands. This retails for about USD22.00 where I’m at, pretty darn expensive…Not recommended, if you want to try a hand therapy from C&E, try the Gardeners instead.

I love Hand Therapy and usually use the Gardener’s scent but thought I’d switch it up a bit. The Nantucket is a nice change, feels the same but smells nice and powdery. I don’t like anything else Nantucket Briar except for the soap so I was surprised that I liked this.

I absolutely love this hand cream, after trying several other creams from bath&body works, l’occitane… this one is definitely the winner in my opinion. It’s not sticky, goes on smooth and definitely moisturizes! This is my favorite scent from Crabtree & Evelyn, I found the other ones too strong but that’s just a personal preference. It’s such a clean smell. I agree with some of the other reviews that the packaging isn’t the greatest. if the tube gets pushed on accidentatly (which happens in my purse) the cream keeps coming out when you take the cap off. but the overall quality of the product is excellent!

It’s a great hand cream. My work requires me to wash my hands a lot, so hand moisturization is very important to me. The feeling is quite soft and silky, but not too oily, so I don’t have to worry about slippery hands. Also, I’ve been using the same tube (100 mL) for about 4 months, about twice a day, and I still have alot left (still using it right now). I got this on sale at a boutique, but it’s double the price at C&E. However, the product is well worth the price, and I would definitely buy this hand cream again!

Great moisturizing power as in other hand therapies from this brand I tried. Not greasy. I don’t know how to describe the scent, maybe light floral with a hint of washing powder which I use at home. LOL. Anyway, this scent is not too bad. I am likely to try other scents rather than buying this again. 🙂
However, I really hate the packaging of this metal tube. The cap is not user-friendly – well at least not as good as other caps in terms of easiness to screw them back in. Also, the metal tube cracks. Urk… The cream is flowing out. I need to use another plastic container to store it now! Therefore, 1 lippie off!

This is the best hand therapy I have ever used! My cracked heals are no more. The smell is strong, but I use it only at night and I makes for good dreams.

Nantucket briar is an ok scent; a powdery floral blend crossed with a fresh laundery scent. It is actually overpowering in this hand cream. The scent is too strong in this-enough to give me a headache as well as those around me. Crabtree needs to lighten this one up a bit.

Goodness is this stuff AWFUL! It is a nicely moisturizing hand cream with shea butter but the scent is headache inducing. I put this on my hands and immediately I was sick from the overpowering floral/lavendar scent. I washed my hands over and over again and even put another lotion on but the scent still lingered. It took a full 24 hours to go away. I tossed this one in the trash. The packaging is a metal tube which does not do well for carrying around in a bag. I do not recommend this scent!
