ARROW is a line branded and sold by Birchbox. It is great that new cosmetics companies are bringing us more choices in the antiperspirant/deodorant categories! For ages my underarms could tolerate only Clinique or Dermadoctor antiperspirants, but I don’t really sweat much. It’s underarm odor, especially during hot weather, that I need to combat. So many deodorants I’ve tried smell like Granny’s Old Time Head Shop, and perspiration may be a better alternative to cheap patchouli and tea tree oil. Alum stones (crystals) are a form of alluminum, and they work as antiperspirants, but definitely not as deodorants. Also, they irritate my skin quite a bit. I am so happy to say that Arrow deodorant really works for me and it isn’t irritating. It stung a bit the first couple of times I used it, but, overall it seems to help perspiration and odor, and it lasts quite a bit longer than the other non-aluminum deordorant that works for me, Whish. Arrow has a lemony scent that intensifies with body heat. It’s made of soap, lye, petroleum derived propylene glycol, surfactants, and fragrances (Citral, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool). It can be used in conjuction with anti-perspirant, or on its own. If used on its own, it’s best to tote around the container, because touch-ups are necessary. The container is smaller than most deodorants, but hopefully the company will offer larger sizes in the future. I am extremely pleased with the results I get from this, and I plan to buy several more to stock up.
