This is a Japanese heavy-duty hand cream made from aloe vera. It is so incredibly thick and emollient that it needs a good massage to sink in, and I would never dare use it in the daytime, except for those bitter cold days when the skin on my knuckles starts looking like it`s about to crack. Still, I prefer using it at night, because if you have to wash your hands during the day it`s a pain to remove all that blubber every time. It works really well to moisturize your hands, and I even got a pair of these self-warming night gloves which help the moisture sink in and feel wonderful at night (imagine there`s no central heating in Japanese homes in winter!!!) For about $10 US you get a pretty big jar and since a little goes a long way with this product, that jar has kept going for me since last November. It has a very light fragrance of aloe which I like. Sometimes I even use it as a balm on other parts of my body like my elbows and heels and it works great for those, too. I can never use Vaseline because it doesn`t absorb for me, but this cream does and provides as much moisture, I think. Will always repurchase.
