Okay, so this bronzer is perfection. Even if you’re not a bronzer person (and up until Daydream, I definitely wasn’t), I promise this is the product that will convert you. My two personal beefs with most bronzers are that: 1) they tend to be frosty and therefore not ideal for daytime use, and 2) they look unnatural because they have orange undertones. Memo to cosmetics companies: naturally tanned skin is not orange (exhibit A being Donald Trump).
Anyway, Daydream is neither of those things. It’s a sort of dusky apricot shade with just enough warmth to brighten your skin up while still looking natural. I have fair skin with neutral leaning slightly cool undertones and this gives my skin an insanely gorgeous soft, sun-kissed glow, like I’m actually radiating health or something (when in fact I’m generally both sleep and sun deprived.) And, while it falls on the more matte end of the spectrum, it has enough luminosity to avoid looking flat on your face.
I think Daydream is universal enough that it would work on anyone with fair to medium-olive skin, regardless of undertone. For darker skin tones, it may not show up well. I should mention that Edward Bess does make this bronzer in a darker shade ( Desert Sun). I have both shades and they are in fact actually pretty similar. Desert Sun is slightly darker but still easy to work with if you’re on the paler side. The main difference between the two is that Desert Sun is noticeably cooler and slightly more matte than Daydream. It has less pink in it than Daydream, and instead has cooler, more earthy undertones. I find that Desert Sun works particularly well for contouring and when I want to add a little more definition to my cheekbones and jawline. Honestly, I love both of them and I don’t think you could go wrong with either.
My only gripe is that I wish they hadn’t changed the packaging. I personally preferred the round compact to the current square packaging. However, the new packaging includes a mini brush so there is an added convenience factor if you want to use it on the go. As for the formulation, I don’t notice any difference in either of the shades – they look the same to me. So I think the changes were confined to the packaging.

A product has to be really good or really bad for me to write a review. Well edward bess’ daydream bronzer is beautiful. The packaging is ok but the content is awesome. The powder is extremely finely milled and blends effortlessly. I use the tom ford bronzer brush or the rae morris flawless shader… I get a beautiful finish with both these brushes. I am typically nw20/25 in skin tone and this bronzer is just perfect for complimenting my colouring but it will also be stunning on cooler and neutral tones also. My daughter is nc10/15 and it is gorgeous on her too. I would suggest for anybody above nc/nw 25/30 to go for the darker bronzer I believe it is called desert sun. Anyways the colour is stunning it delivers a lovely healthy ethereal glow and though it says luminous in the description there is not one iota of glitter in the pan… Phew. I own bronzers from guerlain, dior, jouer, ysl, charlotte tilbury to name a few and this is in my opinion the best. Not a hint of orange or dirty brown. I love it. I will definately repurchase again and that in itself is very rare.

Love this!! It’s not overly “luminous” so don’t know why it’s called that. It just has a nice glow to it, but really no shimmer, glitter or sheen. Don’t be put off by that title at all, it’s not a highlighting bronzer (if you know what I mean). Or maybe you wanted a shimmery bronzer, in which case, this isn’t the one for you. It’s perfect for fair-medium skin, pale people can definately wear this. It’s a wonderful shade that enhances and warms the face with a hint of “just been to the beach” ruddiness. Enhances your blushes wonderfully and pulls the whole look together Glides effortlessly onto the skin with no cakiness, patchiness, powderiness. Looks so natural and “second skin”. Never too much and so reliable, I reach for it over a lot of other bronzers because it’s so easy and reliable I guess. I know it will work. Well worth the money and I’d repurchase.

If you have been searching for a subtle, natural bronzer, this is the one! It is sheer at first but, as others have said, it can be built up for more intensity. I think that is one of the key qualities that makes this bronzer so outstanding. With other bronzers I have tried, with my fair skin, I have had to be very careful so that I didn’t overdo it on the first swipe. There is no danger of that here. It is finely milled and blends out beautifully.
The drawbacks to this are the cost ($45) and the packaging does not correspond to the high-end price. I don’t really care for the brush it comes with either.
Despite the cost and packaging, I see this as a bronzer staple in my makeup stash. I use it every day for contouring my cheekbones and giving my face a subtle glow. This product makes it seem so easy, makes me wonder why a bronzer like this is hard to come by amongst other brands!

I’ve always been a Chantecaille Tahiti fan and I didn’t think I would ever find anything that could match it let alone replace it, and I wasn’t even looking, but I stumbled across the reviews on this when I was looking up another Edward Bess product. With the reviews being so good I just had to see what this bronzer was all about so I bought it blind online – I don’t think there are any stockists in the UK other than online. Well this bronzer is absolutely amazing, even moreso than my Chantecaille! It really is just the perfect bronzer that you cannot overdo, it looks completely natural and is just beautiful. It gives my skin a gorgeous healthy glow! Definitely my new HG! Nothing sparkly in it and no harsh lines to blend in when applied with my hourglass No 1 brush, just perfect!

When it comes to foundation, loose powder, eye shadow, lipstick, lip pencils, blush, concealer, mascara, I’ve tried enough of each to consider myself a connoisseur. When it comes to powder bronzer, I have only had 3 in my makeup life, one by Fresh, one by Nars (Laguna) and this. This is by far the best for me. It is not totally matte, but it has less sparkle than Laguna and it is more neutral, less yellow. I still need a bit of blush with it, but it really finishes my makeup application.

I bought this sight unseen in the midst of some sort of makeup buying frenzy. I blame the blogs… At any rate, while many of the products bought in this fashion (yes Becca Mineral Makeup, I’m looking at you) were total duds, this one was actually worth the splurge. My skin is fair with yellow and red undertones and most bronzers make me grab a stack of makeup wipes as soon as I see them on. EB bronzer is PERFECT. It’s impossible to over-apply because of the fine milling and the light shade. Yet it definitely leaves a wonderful color on my face. I don’t think it can carry me into winter, as it does look best when I have some color on my face in the summer. But for now it is my HG every day look. I apply with the EB kabuki brush (total luxury but any big brush would do). I mix some sunblock and a dab of foundation on my face, swipe Daydream on, a bit of mascara and that’s it! Highly recommended.

This is my absolute favorite blush.
The shade in the container is somewhat dull and nothing special looking but when applied to your face it seems to transform.
You can apply lightly to slightly brighten up your face or build it to the shade you like best.
I love it. It looks so natural on the skin. My face just looks happy when I use this.
I can no longer find it on their website and have yet to find anything at the drugstore with a similar shade or effect on the skin.
This has been the most natural looking blush I have ever used.

I decided to purchase this blush based on the descriptions here. I didn’t want anything too bright, too peachy, too red. I was very surprised when I received it – it looked like a light-toned matte bronzer.
The color does actually sort of “morph” as another reviewer mentioned, and it seemed to do the same thing for me as it did for her – on the skin it is a nice warm earthy color with a hint of pink. Very pretty. However, I do have to build it up a bit for it to appear on my skin and once I get the desired color, it’s lovely. I usually wear the multi-tasking neutral semi-matte base, for reference.
Oh, and don’t go by the picture of the product here or the one on the EM website. Too dark and too light, respectively!

This is a great alternative to a pink. I would describe it as having some “coral accents” even though it says light brown with pink accents. I use another EM blush (Weekend Getaway) for the spring/summer months when I just want a hint of color but I love Daydream for the fall/winter months when you need more color in your skin… I’m light and I only get lighter in the darker seasons. This gives me some visible color (not like I-was-a-kid-playing-in-my-mother’s- makeup horrific kind of way). Weekend Getaway is more like the youthful, subtle flush while Daydream is the more sophisticated I’m-a-lady-who-knows-her-makeup-well kind of blush.

I bought a sample of this blush with one of my orders from EM. The product description on the website says, “a very light brown matte blush with pink highlights.” I thought this was an accurate description. What I loved about this blush is:
– it was very natural-looking on my light complexion
– the pink highlights were very soft and would compliment most complexions with warm undertones
– a little goes a long way, so it will last a long time
– it is versitile. Because of the brown tones, I’ve used it similarly to a bronzer, I’ve used it as an eye shadow, and I’ve mixed it with clear lipgloss for a peachy pink lip color.

– The packaging was really quite bad. I purchased the sample size, so there was no sifter and it was difficult to get the right amount of blush without spilling everywhere.
Even though the packaging was inconvenient, the color of the blush is fantastic. I would buy this product again, this time in the full size with the sifter.

I was given this product – which tells you that I would never have chosen it on my own. Dusty pink meets brown…yawn…boring. But when I tried it on I was really surprised. Its probably one of the most natural looking blushes I’ve ever worn, it matches my natural flush color perfectly so you really cant tell if its blush at all (well unless you really pile it on!) I still dont think its a very exciting color, and I probably wont wear it everyday but for times when you really want to look natural or do your makeup quickly this is the ticket.

The color of this blush on EDM website is not a direct match with what you receive in person. On the website, the blush has more of a light-brown shade with a somewhat pinkish undertone. In person, the color is more of a neutral, sandy brown shade. And, as a result, you have to be careful not to end up with straight up brown cheeks.

This is my favorite blush of ALL time. I’m Asian and I find that a lot of products (ehhem Nars Orgasm) that are AMAZING on others truly look terrible on me. This is a fantastic dusty pink that really complements my skin tone. I don’t really like to have pink/rosy cheeks, but i do like having color. I bought this awhile ago and am just about running out and have noticed that EM did change their packaging. I hope it’s better than the one I have, because this stuff creates a mess for sure.

For reference I’m NC40 and this is my HG bronzer. I’ve been using it for the past three months and it’s amazing. There’s nothing that screams BRONZER when I have this on, instead it just warms up my skin and gives me a beautiful sunkissed glow. I’ve worn many a bronzer in my day and have liked a few of them but this is the first bronzer I’ve truly loved… LOVED. It’s my absolutely HG and before I hit pan I’ll make sure to repurchase.
UPDATE 01/12/2013 :: I’ve been using this bronzer for a year now and that’s amazing in and of itself. I’ve hit pan in a few small spots but already purchased another because I don’t want to be without this amazing product. I still feel it’s my HG x1000!

Hands down this is the most amazing bronzer ever made. Rich, soft, sheer color that doesn’t look like I am wearing bronzer. Just beautiful, natural, warmth that makes my face come alive and makes me look like I am having a “pretty” day. I am a makeup addict and have tried everything. I’ve been a makeup ally member for 10 years and visit a few times per week but this is the first review I’ve been compelled to write. This is my star product! I’ve had it for only 3 days but I was excited to get up and get ready for work just because I was looking forward to putting this on!! I am already afraid that Edward Bess will change something on this or discontinue it. I love it so so much!

Edward Bess Daydream Bronzer is unimpressive in every way:
The packaging is cheesy and flimsy, not to mention annoying in that it’s hard to see which end opens, as it is all round, all black, and no marking to see where to open it.
The color is very typical – nothing unique or special, and the formula is somewhat powdery and chalky.
I would not recommend this, nor would I ever repurchase it.
