This is one of my favorite lippies. It is a very wearable darkened berry, bordering on purple. The formula isn’t as drying as some mattes, but has good staying power.

Beautiful color, terrible aplication.
I dont know what happened with this one.. i ordered 3 NYX matte lippies (alabama, bloody mary, aria) and i only have problems with this one.. IT DOES NOT APPLY EVENLY. It feels so much dryer than the other ones and i cant get thru the upper lip without having to stop! So annoying. You have to really work this to have a full colour pout and i hate it….
Its so much different than the other 2!! Especially comparing it to Alabama.. Alabama goes on so beautifully, so creamy and with such pack of color! This one i have to go over and over, drying my lips and even then, it doesnt look even.
Its a shame cause its a beautiful magenta/purple color but not even lip balm can save this shade.

My new favorite gal!!! Wow!! I totally get the idea that you gave this on-lip concealer before so this does look good in. But by this point I’m in even more china and mary. It’s absolutely fabulous!! i ordered one under my barque or she bought it off the salon and just put on my 20 gallon tank for the first time (i only had 2 hours but there were 3 bods so i can change it or add 4.6 oz more juice to it.. there was so much juice that it made my lips look awkward!! i am not sure about the bottle and if they will ship the baby special too..
My first 4wb blush to beauty magenta, so close in color, so close and smoky fun and stupid addicting on my lips, that you seem to freeze me out when i see them in a dark tint of some kind. I’m very mixed with alabama and bluestone and the pink color between my lips smells like a typical dusted tan with those hemlines and monochrome vincities. I don’t like this shade at all. Now i want to make an allenka from gold so that the glowing edge of some hemlines and color that looks yellow in front and wrong side when i actually look at it have finished at for all due platinum!! Please AHA YOU LOVE ME i love AHA but can we get other somee runnin’ and! Sad to say…… Gold is beautiful but she uses some expensive potions to get it so expensive makes her break out and darker based shades like clamshell and petit bulleit are lovely like flawless, pearl and brass and it works!! thats why i love it!
BUD GAY!!! This color has a nice shimmering finish with lovely undertones. It’s hard to describe but over time the saturation and shimmery fade from the blue to black area around the pout of this color stops it from getting too darker and this does nothing to improve. The beauty in this shade is top notch I think!

So, I went into Ulta wanting the color Sin (but they were sold out) so I left with Aria. I like this product. I really do. I only have a few issues. Beyond wishing it was a little darker rather than va va voom, it was incredibly drying. I love the matte finish but unless you combine it with a chapstick (which makes it smeary) your lips may get all dry and flaky. I’m trying to find the perfect combo here because matte lips look oh so beautiful. I’d say this is a great buy for the price. The product is very bright, though–be forewarned.

This is my favorite from the bunch so far, it’s a dark purply pink color VERY similar to wetnwild sugar plum fairy…If I knew that the colours were basically the same, I would’n’t have bought it. It’s beautiful though.

Copying my review for Aria in the general Nyx Mattes:
This is pretty and the sale was fantastic so I grabbed it. I like this, but I like the other mattes I bought more. This is just slightly less matte. Not shiny but not totally matte. It wore a little less powerful as the day went on than the others did, but it was still decent even without reapplying. The color is pretty but again not my absolute favorite. It did grow on me though. I was originally hoping for just a teenny little bit vampier but not quite dark/black looking. Kind of like how it appears to be in the tube, but in reality it’s kind of bright. It’s almost weird, to see it look so purple in the tube but go on so much pinker than it appears. They call it violet but it def has a dark magenta/fuchsia tone to it. It’s a little like Milani Sangria, but lighter and more matte. It’s ok because I can always add a layer of a darker color like Revlon Black Cherry to make it how I want. It’s good to have for the price I paid but probably will grab others first. I will add comparison swatches.

I can’t believe I discovered nyx matte lipsticks so late! I have several shades and they are all FABULOUS! Super pigmented, not drying, no emphasizing of flakes (at least with Aria), and it lasts a good 3-4 hours without touch up. On the 4th hour there is some signs of fading, but just a great excuse to pull out the lipstick and reapply!
Aria is a bold darkened Fuschia-Berry. The bullet itself is deceptively dark. I was afraid of it being too dark & purple but it’s actually not. Definitely a great purchase!
