Just how much color defending this does I’m really not sure but as a leave in conditioning treatment I do like this product a lot. There is a fragrance to it, not heavy or perfume-like and I can’t say that it lingers all that long but it does smell nice. The spray bottle mists evenly and does not clog up which is nice. Generallly I will leave my hair in a twisted turban towel while I get ready and then apply the leave-in treatment to damp hair. Most of the time I do not dry my hair leaving it to dry naturally and this keeps my hair soft and manageable. It’s also great to refresh waves/curls the next day and doesn’t leave any discernible build up in my hair. I do layer some coconut or macadamia oil on the ends and it never looks greasy or weighed down. I like this leave-in better than most others I’ve used and I will be purchasing it again when I run out.

I’m not quite sure what this product is meant to do because it’s crap. As a “color defender” I had hoped this would bring out my highlights, keep my hair moisturized and detangle it. I guess i was asking for too much because it didn’t do any of those things. Actually it made my hair worse by severely drying it out. I can’t figure out why it’s in a squirt top bottle. It’s a watery liquid. Shouldn’t it be in spray form? At first I would try to pour this into my hands and then try to apply whatever hadn’t ran through my fingers to my hair. Then I realized the better solution was to pour it straight from the bottle on my hair. But I used so much product that way. The one thing I’ll give this is it didn’t weigh my fine hair down. But that’s the only thing it was good for. Save your money on this, and just find a really good deep conditioner.
