I am absolutely head over heels in love with the wanted eye palette and just had to have this!
The palette itself is very similar to its little sister Wanted eye palette, slightly smaller in size than the cheek studio palette because the pans are square shaped. A little tricky to open as well, just like the eye palette. At a total net weight of 0.78 oz., it is still under $1.00 US per 1/100 of an ounce, and less expensive per pan than a NARS blush single. No outer mirror to collect fingerprints, I plan to store it in the box to keep the (printed-on?) graphics looking new.
Aimed towards fairer skin tones, all of the shades apply slightly sheer but are definitely more pigmented than the cheek studio palette blushes and look fresh. Even the brightest/most intense shade, crave, a matte bright coral looks pretty (I use foundations fair-light). I have used shade “crave” on my cheeks and using shade “buzzed”, a “matte coral” as an eyeshadow, a look inspired by reviewers of the unfiltered palettes where they did a full face with the palette, and like it so much that I plan to do this more often. If I were to pick a least favorite, it would be the shade unlimited, a shimmery pale pink – I already have similar (think Becca). I have been liking NARS’ blusher formulas found in this and the cheek studio palette because they always apply well on my dry skin and never clash with the dewey look I can’t avoid no matter what kind of foundation I try due to the heavy skin creams I use.
I think this would be nice for anyone who doesn’t have a lot of blushers and are looking for a nicely packaged grouping of shades to add to their collection. I have fallen victim to the recent trend of warm palettes and think this is the answer to my need to find complimentary blush shades.
