The most fabulous thing about this palette is the packaging, it’s GORGEOUS!!!! Silver packaging with a sturdy clasp that shuts firmly and this beautiful It Girl logo lazer cut out on the top with sparkly holographic pink and multi-colored glitters inside that shift around like a kaleidoscope. Fantastic! Of course if the best thing about a palette is the packaging, it’s probably a good thing to test this one before you buy it unless you can snag it for a great deal!
The blush is a pretty soft pink with a subtle ombre effect, the portion at the top is slightly lighter and can be used as a highlighter. Nice, but barely showed up even on my fair NC25 skin tone. As far as the eyeshadows go I would compare them to Clnique’s eyeshadows. They have the same kind of pigmentation, same kind of wear and really nice if you’re looking for something basic and easy to wear. I was mostly impressed with the black shade, LBD. I love how it’s deep, dark and pigmented and it blends like a dream. Soiree is fantastic as a crease shade, Festive is beautiful as an all over lid shade and Clink! made a really nice inner eye highlighter. I was able to create a pretty cool toned smoky eye and Pearls made a decent brow bone shade. Other than those 5 shades, I could take or leave the rest of them though. Chic and Cheers! look nothing on like they do in the pan and Midnight was pretty patchy. The remaining colors I felt were passable, but easy to find dupes for.
Overall I like this palette, I can definitely see myself using it but mostly because of the packaging and the 5 colors I really liked so I honestly can’t see myself purchasing it if I ever ran out or purchasing a back-up. Plus the wear wasn’t that impressive and the blush was a bust. LIKE!
