Great for helping heal blemished skin. A bit drying.

Very moisturising mask, but I didn’t like that oily film left on my skin after washing it off. I use a lot of facial oils and this oil film feels different, it’s more like if you accidentally touched an oily pan in the sink and that greasy film just stuck on your fingers, not a pleasant feeling!

This was a nice moisturising mask, it made my skin feel supple and soft after use, didn’t cause any breakouts. However it did leave a bit of a greasy feel, so had to wash it off very thoroughly. I won’t run out and repurchase as I can find other masks that don’t need to be kept in the fridge/fast expiry, for around the same price if not cheaper.

This mask is great for soothing skin when it’s irritated! However, it’s also so easy to make at home so i end up doing that instead. I also don’t like that it contains talc.
At home i put some oats, bananas, kaolin clay powder or whatever other clay i see at the market, almond oil, and maybe some glycerin in to a blender and then stick it in a tupperware and it works just as well!
I personally like the catastrophe cosmetic mask the best!

I liked oatfix. It’s creamy moisturizing and just felt really nice to have on my skin. LUSH products often have big chunks of natural materials in their products and this will occasionally make their products awkward to use. This was true with Oatfix, but I would certinLy repurchase if I have another bout of dry skin.

I love this mask! The smell is heavenly and its very cooling on the skin. Its moisturizing and washes off easily. It is thick but it spreads easily and ive had no issue with piece of it falling off. I massage it into my skin and let it works its magic. After i rinse it off my skin is glowing and extremely soft. I will definitely buy it again!

I quite like Lush products and this one is quite moisturising but I wouldn’t repurchase because of its short shelf life and the fact that it’s not the most convenient mask to use.
Pros:
– Moisturising without breaking me.
– Contains a lot of nourishing oils
– Lovely smell and not overbearing. I’m not big on heavily scented products but I rather enjoy the smell of this mask.
– The oats in the mask is calming and has a slight exfoliating effect when washed off
Cons:
– Difficult to apply. It’s quite chunky and because it needs to be refrigerated I find the oils in this solidify. To combat this I leave it out of the fridge for about 15-20mins so it’ll be easier to spread onto the face. I find warming it up between your fingers helps too
– You can’t keep it on your face for too long…unless you live in a very warm climate. I find that any longer than 5-7minutes and I will have solidified oils on my face. If you keep it on for longer it’s very hard to wash off and leaves am oily and thick film.
– Hard to wash off and bits of the oats often get into my hair.
– Short shelf life. If you have time for masks like these then great but if you’ve got a busier schedule etc or can’t be bothered to use masks regularly, the product can go to waste.
Overall, it is a gentle and moisturising mask but it’s not convenient enough for me to want to repurchase.

This mask is amazingly moisturising and calming on my dry, sensitive skin. I love this mask!
PROS:
– Absolutely GORGEOUS smell, nearly good enough to eat (in fact I had to keep my cat from licking this off my face!). It has a strong smell of vanilla, and also has oats and banana in it so smells faintly of them too
– Is made from all natural, fresh products. Must be kept in the fridge as the products are all fresh
– Because it’s kept in the fridge, it’s nice and cooling when applied which is another bonus for someone with sensitive skin
– Mositurises really well – I don’t need to moisturise after rinsing this off. The feeling it leaves is similar to if I had just applied a serum on my skin, so this is good to apply at night so when you wake up in the morning your makeup will apply beautifully
– Great price ($19 NZD)
– The staff at Lush on Thorndon Quay in Wellington were fantastic – so helpful and knowledgeable, and listened to what I needed
– It isn’t a clay based mask, so it’s not the type of mask that will dry on your skin and feel horrible while you’re waiting for it to set – it stays moist on your skin for however long you want to leave it on (the package says to leave it for 5 – 10mins but I sometimes leave it on for 20mins because it’s so nice to wear!)
– I’m trying a few new products at the moment, and because I have sensitive skin every now and then I’ll use a product that gives me a bad reaction (e.g. painful burning or itching, redness and that horrible tight feeling). Whenever this happens I use Oatfix and this immediately relieves the reaction. It’s my saviour!
– Lush is a sustainable company that are against animal testing – and that is rare for a large company now days
CONS:
– This is kind of hard to apply because small chunks of it easily fall off after I try to slather it over my face, therefore it takes a little bit longer to put on than a regular mask would
– Because it’s a fresh product, it won’t last very long in the fridge (but this is also kind of a bonus because I feel compelled to use it more regularly than I would a normal mask, to ensure I use it all before it goes off).
5 lippies, I would buy again and recommend to my friends and family

I like that this product is fresh and I keep it in my fridge. The fragrance is lovely and I can apply it close to my eyes which is great. I didn’t give it five lippies simply because my skin didn’t feel deeply moisturized and the pieces of oats that fell down from my face annoyed me. I wish this produkt could work for me but it doesn’t

Right … This is only the second product i ever bought from LUSH ( as well as the dream cream i hated ) and this is another disappointment !!
I order this because i read on the board that this is really good for very dry skin and people use to say that how only this help to them. And being on RetinA especially in winter i always fight with very dry skin. I do every ones or twice x week moisturising masks after exfoliating my skin.
First i don’t mind the pot as i always use brush to apply masks so the pot is ok.
Then the smell is really nice too even i m not mad about porridge …i like it is nice and yummy.
The worst part ever is how do you apply this ???? I couldn’t manage !!! Is extremely thick , very hard to apply and while on – keep dropping pieces around the house. I tried everything and no luck. The only way is to apply ( clean after that as there is no chance you can apply without making mess – is everywhere ) and then sit in the bathroom without moving to much till you have to wash it out . And to be honest i was going to make all this effort if this was some kind of miracle product for my dry skin. BUT IS NOT !!! There is some moisture added after i wash it out and my skin is kind of softer but nothing that makes a good real difference to my skin. Also i broke out from it twice ( had a big spot coming on next day ) and i normally never broke out. Very rare now at my age lol.
I have tried tons of masks , i love them and using masks from when i was 15yo – now 36.
And till this day i have not find anything that is REALLY GOOD but one that i m quite happy with and keep ordering is Paula’s Choice Skin Recovery Mask . And then the dr.Hauschka moisturising mask which is way to $$ and not that much better than the PC one. Also another good one is Avene Soothing Moisture Mask is quite gentle and really soothing especially if you have red irritated skin.
So i m glad some people like this and help them but for me …NO.
