I actually really like the consistency and blendability of this, it felt really comfortable on my skin and smoothed out my complexion a lot and apparently this is a new formula which is very moisturising for me (dry/dehydrated skin). But although it brightened my skin it still looked a lot paler than the rest of my body. It looks fine once I layer my makeup on over it but I definitely can’t wear it alone. For that reason I probably wouldn’t repurchase.
Update May 13, 2018: I will add a lippie to this rating because I realised I was over applying and wasn’t allowing it to set. Now, I apply moisturiser then wait 10 minutes, apply the sunblock then wait a few more minutes and I just add some tinted moisturiser and its fine. Not sure about others but I’m very yellow so the light blue tint helps to balance that. It gives a very smooth finish and I think I would repurchase.

I have been looking for the perfect sunscreen. I find that most sunscreens and lotions leave your skin feeling sticky and oily. While I don’t mind it too much on my body, I don’t want my face looking greasy and sticky.
Last year, Klairs released their Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion with SPF40 and I immediately got my hands on this product. I was definitely put off by the thick consistency at the beginning, but it actually absorbs very quickly. The Klairs Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion feels actually quite refreshing and soothing on my skin. It doesn’t leave my face sticky or greasy and on top of that it doesn’t have a whitecast unlike most sunscreens that I have previously tried.
I really like Klairs products in general, especially because they are cruelty-free. I can highly recommend this product to anyone, who is looking for a good and affordable sun lotion for their face.

Pros
– the blue tint cancels out redness and really brightens up my skin tone (however those who dislike white cast will not enjoy this)
-spf 40- good sun protection
Cons
– it balls up and looks SO patchy and flaky on my skin (other spf or skincare products don’t do this). It just won’t work over my regular skincare routine, even when I wait for each layer of skincare (klairs toner, holika holika aloe vera gel and nature republic emulsion) to completely dry and absorb into my skin before applying, this sun lotion still looks so patchy.
– thick cream-like consistency (and quite lumpy) that’s difficult to spread
Disappointing. I usually love Klairs products but this just didn’t work for me *sigh*. Back to my trusty Skin Aqua UV super moisture gel.
