Needed a new setting powder. I normally go for white translucent powders. This was colored. I guess I was just curious about it because of that. I tried it out on my hand, and it seemed to blend out well. Tried it out the next morning on my face, and it looked HORRIBLE. It did not blend out – it sat as chunky, chalky clumps of powder on my skin. I thought I might have used too much of this, so later I tried to use much less powder, but still got the same chalky, caked look.
I like to have really long-wearing products, as I normally have makeup on for 16h a day. This didn’t control my oils, which meant that everything began melting off faster in the California heat. It looked worse than any other powder I’ve ever used, as it looked like chalk paste that gathered in creases and created little makeup islands that were swimming down my face. However, not only did it not prolong the wear of my makeup: it broke it down…! After just a couple of hours, this powder had made my long-wearing concealer look absolutely horrible – it had somehow dissolved it. I don’t even know how it’s possible, but it did that every time I tried this powder: the concealer broke up into patches and began coming off my face.
This powder has gotten good ratings on the Ulta site, but for or me, it’s a disaster. It didn’t break me out, but with all of the other stuff it was doing, I can not recommend this powder
