I love this mascara! Im not really picky about mascara…tbh they pretty much all do the same thing for me haha. But if you want to splurge on beautiful classy packaging, chanel is the one! Its volumizing, lengthening and black!

Its a ok Mascara but in Australia its $56AU it crumbles throught the day (may sound odd) but i truley dislike the smell of this mascara the packaging is BEAUTIFUL and asides from the crumbling and smell its fine but there are better ones out there!

I will admit that I was drawn to the mascara for the colour. I wear blue mascara (was too young in the 80s to enjoy the trend?), and Cobalt seemed like it would be more vivid than Le Volume in Blue Night, which I normally use. What struck me first was how similar it is to the now-discontinued Extracils in formula (not to mention packaging). And, like with Extracils, I am not a fan. If you have long lashes and want to highlight that length, give this a try. I prefer a volumizing mascara, and need too many coats of this to achieve what I want. I also find it more difficult to remove than Le Volume. As for the blue, it disappoints and almost doesn’t show. I’ll be going back to Le Volume when this tube is done.

I bought this mascara as a very special treat for Xmas since I hate paying over the odds for a product I throw away after 3 months. I love the packaging, the brush is perfect and the mascara goes on like a dream but … within a couple of hours I have (very expensive) raccoon eyes! Where I live the climate is mild and dry at this time of year; I cannot imagine how this would fare in a warm and humid climate. I have never had this problem with other non-waterproof cheaper mascaras so cannot justify repurchasing. Shame!

This mascara is simply amazing… for a while. I got the sample of this mascara from spending over hundred bucks on Chanel’s perfume, and so I decided to wear this out at night with my evening look. I would say I am fairly surprised how much this mascara can extend my eyelashes. No exaggeration, but if you curl your eyelashes and apply 2 thorough layer of this bad boy, the outcome would be as good as though you are wearing another thin layer of fake lashes. Now, the reason I’m not giving this a 5 star is because the cost, and the smudge it leaves if you blink too hard. Since I wear contact lens out everyday, I blink quite often, and since I’m a hard blinker, this would usually leave smudges underneath my eyes. Because I live in Asia, TAX and VAT are automatically added to the price, which makes it even higher and that bugs me. Overall, if you aren’t a hard blinker, and you are looking for a mascara that will enhance your eyelashes (and still make them look natural), then this product is for you! Hope my reviews help you a bit, and have a good day/night 🙂

I received a mini version of this mascara to try it out. I’m super impressed by the quality of this mascara. It gives your lashes an instant boost and makes them extra long and curly without clogging together. The brush is fine which makes it easy to tackle every single lash. Even though I have sensitive and teary eyes, this mascara doesn’t give me panda eyes at the end of the day. I will be buying the full size of this mascara even though it’s pricey since it’s such good quality! Oh and even though this mascara holds so long, it’s easy to take it off with regular eye make up remover.

I agree with previous reviews that this mascara is amazing. It makes it look like you naturally have incredible eyelashes. The brush is amazing and really lengthens and separates each individual lash. Really easy to apply, very buildable and amazing finish.
The reason I can’t give this mascara 5 out of 5 is that it isn’t as long-lasting as I’d hoped. I occasionally wear this as an everyday mascara and by the end of the working day I will have slight panda eyes and dark smudges underneath my eyes. It’s not the end of the world and it does fairly well to last most of the day as it’s not a waterproof mascara, but for the price I’d expect it to last at least the day without smudging. I wouldn’t re-purchase this, but would perhaps give the waterproof version a go.

I bought this mascara a week ago and tested it in different situations. I am 37 now, don’t care about brand names anymore, as you pay the name and the adds most of the time.
I am a NC15, green eyes, ash blond, extra long lashes because of bimatoprost. This mascara does not flake, not a bit, does not make panda eyes, is easy to remove. It instantly curls my lashes noticeably without having them curled before! It separates perfectly, no spider legs, nothing and still such stunning volume with just one coat, no irritation, no blurred visual effect, the brush is not as long as the one of Volume de Chanel and more narrow, better to get into the edges… just perfekt.
Effekt on other people: makes people look straight into my eyes. It pairs wonderfully with red lip Colours. You don’t need much more to look absolutely polished.
I rarely rave about a product, but this one really deserves a review. This is a luxury product, the price is high, no kidding, but it also is one of those products you treat yourself with, if you passed a test successfully or got a new job. It is very black, it has the best brush ever (keep the brush and use it with other deep black mascara). The brush is not to big, so you can catch every single lash. It separates surprisingly a lot better than Volume de Chanel and also much better than Inimitable mascara….. I start repeating myself 🙂

Worst mascara ever!!! Harsh but true. Especially when you’ve payed $55Aud and have no option to return it. Smudges and flakes, left with panda eyes within half an hrs of application 🙁

AMAZING!
This is smooth, non-clumpy and beautifully lengthening. I hate spending a lot of money on just mascaras because I hold the belief that drugstore brands create the exact same suff in a less classy bottle. However, this mascara may have just converted me. I’ve been regularly disappointed with other branded mascaras but this stunned me on first use.
I use a curler before application. I make sure my eyelashes are curly and even then apply a coat downwards with my eyes closed then upwards with it open. It glides on and separates every lash perfectly. No need for special movements during application or pushing your lashes to one side. It makes them really nice and long yet with volume, It’s much more noticeable on your lower lashes. I remember the first time I used them I was shocked at the finish, they sometimes look like false lashes.
Overall: would recommend. Only problem is that it’s quite expensive.
