I initially had my eye on a couple of pricier high end palettes, but this one caught my eye. With the popularity of YouTube and Instagram makeup tutorials, there’s been a surge of new brands popping up. I do typically stick to high end eye shadow palettes as the less expensive ones tend to disappoint me with chalky texture, and poor pigmentation. I also have to learn to keep my budget under control and $50 palettes don’t help. This has 25 shades, with a mix of mattes and shimmers for under $20.
Pigmentation varies from shade to shade, some are great and some really need to be packed on. Texture/smoothness again mixed, though most seem to be pretty smooth with a few that are chalky/dry feeling. Product wear really depends on using not just a primer, but a good primer. I have not tried these without primer, they color really lasts and does not crease with UDPP anti-aging primer. I also tried this with the NYX white eye shadow primer and the wear was only mediocre. These do blend well as the package claims. I like that there colors tend to go well together, making it easy to create a variety of looks.
For the price this is really good value, it’s not super high quality, but it’s better than most drugstore brands.

So I’ve always wanted to try the famous morphe 35O palette but never got round to it because I felt 35 shadows is unnecessarily a lot and honestly will not even use all 35 shades. Plus the packaging for the 35 range is pretty bleh.
Then comes this limited edition 25 series Palette, it comes in 2 types. 25A copper spice and 25B bronzed mocha. People say 25A is more warm and 25B is more neutral. But I think they’re both pretty warm to me. I went for 25A since I preferred the colour tones more!
I’ve also wanted to try the Juvia’s place Nubian Palette for so long but never got round to it because 1. It’s always sold out 2. It’s pretty pricey for 12 pans.
So I took the plunge and bought this 25A Palette as I’ve seen good reviews and it looks so aesthetic and pretty.
The shadows are no doubt pigmented. The lighter colours aka first row don’t show up that well on swatch but they are buildable. The other 4 rows are really pigmented and easy to swatch. I’m most impressed with the metallic/ shimmer shades. They appear super pigmented on the first swipe and the colours are great, ranging from champagne pink – gold – bronze. I believe there’s plenty of looks that can be created from this Palette.
Also, it’s a good Palette and I’d recommend it to beginners who are looking to purchase their 1st eyeshadow palette. You can never go wrong with this.
Truly is worth the purchase. It is pretty reasonably priced.
Some cons is that the shadows do have some fallout. And there’s darker colours like in the last row I don’t see myself ever using, but hey it’s good to have options!
While it’s still available, it’s worth purchasing. Though if you already have similar palettes like the 35O or Juvia’s Nubian Palette, I’d skip this they basically have the same shades.
