I love love love this eyeshadow palette. The packaging is so pretty, rose gold lid with a peachy/skin colour bottom. Inside you have a mirror on the inside of the lid which is of medium size, which I even use to do my makeup with. The colours are quite pigmented, some more than others. I think one downfall to this palette is that even though there is quite a broad selection of colour there are a couple orange shades and some of the brown shades are more of an orange shade when applied to. The price of this palette is £10 which I think is a really good price, Makeup Revolution on a whole have amazing prices on their makeup. I love this brand and they never disappoint.

The biggest plus for this palette is that it can be used for a variety of complete eye looks, covering every occasion, season & major celebration; I see shades that scream Christmas, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Easter, down to a summer BBQ. There’s shade combos for work, dates, weekend shopping trips with mates and parties/special occasions. I see it all here.
I have liked the majority of looks I’ve done to date using this shadows, although some do need some extra work via layering. The blendability is mostly good – though like with some other mass-market eyeshadows, I’ve noticed that layering a matte shadow over a shimmer one when shadowing the edges of the eye can be iffy to blend out.
There isn’t much fallout from the shadows, although there is a fair amount of kick-up. For the most part the pigmentation is nice for the price-point and there is minimal colour fading.
Quite a few of the light and mid-tone neutrals end up looking pretty much the same after they’ve been applied and blended. Therefore I’d have much preferred it if all of the top row [they’re the most poorly pigmented shades in the palette & all need layering] and some of the other close-matching neutral shades hadn’t been included and either have the remaining pans bigger, or have included some more pops of colour to replace them – expanding on the purple, pink and green shades a bit.
Strawberry Sweets is the biggest let-down for me; it was the shade that first drew me towards this palette, but it is dry and I need to layer it over another matte to make it pop. The duo-chrome shade Petrol was the other let-down; foiling it is a must, as it won’t apply to my lids when dry – either with brushes or finger.
Also; the shade names of the products are printed on a clear plastic shadow shield that slips and slides everywhere so I’ll inevitably lose it, rather than on the actual palette. This niggle doesn’t effect the actual products in any way so I don’t mean to make a big deal about it, but it’s something that winds me up because – as I know I’ve repeated a few times now – I like to know exactly what I’m wearing, and if I find a tutorial somewhere and want to copy it, then it’d be easier if the shades were on the palette – I’m rather surprised that a beauty-based YouTuber didn’t consider this when she collaborated on a eyeshadow palette.
I’d never seen a Sophdoesnails tutorial on YouTube before – heck I’d never even heard of her, so having a particular name attached to it didn’t influence my purchase or effect my overall opinion of it.
I do think that this would make a nice starter palette for those new to using colourful shades of eyeshadow, as you still have plenty of neutrals and can just incorporate the odd ‘pop’ when you want. But if you’re new to eyeshadow in general then I don’t recommend starting with Soph x, since some of the shades are tricky to work with.
I don’t totally regret buying this palette, as it is a good quality for the price and the shade range is pretty good, though I have realized that I’ve hardly reached for it lately; I tend to reach for the new Soph x palette over this, as I prefer the shades in it and there are less ‘misses’ formula-wise = this palette is just sitting around unloved most of the time now. I think that this is destined for the purge-pile…

This is a great eyeshadow palette! My first from Makeup Revolution and I reach for it everyday for work. I LOVE the mattes in this palette – not too pigmented but just enough to blend out. No fallouts, no kick back, no powder everywhere, and buildable. I’ll admit the shimmers aren’t that great and the blue duo chrome shade was disappointing but the warm rusty matte neutrals make it worth it. I picked up another Makeup Revolution today which I hope will be just as good!

This is my go to palette ???? I absolutely love the shade range in it and it had it all, either natural, day time , stubble, night time , soft glam or full glam, This palette has you covered!!!! Soph has done an amazing job ????????

Colour range is lovely but the product quality is hit and miss. For me, the pigmentation could be a lot better, even when I used an eye shadow primer and kept layering particular shades, they still looked quite faint. Another problem I had was with mixing shades, as they didn’t blend together very well.

I might be a bit biased here because I do follow Soph on youtube however in my opinion her palette was very well crafted. The colours are stunning, and well thought out. The colours look nice within the palette and most of them go together well. That being said I want to go into some negative things about the palette.
Keep in mind, I am of medium-deep tan skin-tone with olive undertones with a preference for warmer colours.
Firstly, most of the colours are nicely pigmented with are easily blendable but like most palettes there are a few duds. Let’s start with the white. As mentioned earlier, I am a person of medium, white is a colour I rarely use because I never use colours that light however the few times I did use it, it was extremely chalky. It kicks up a lot of shadow and blends away. Another colour I wasn’t a fan of was the colour ‘Grow Old’, a bronzey golden colour. In the pan, this colour is stunning however from swatching it and on the lids, it doesn’t seem to be an opaque colour but more of a fine glitter. Again, this is not something I’m a fan of. Finally, the colour ‘Petrol’ also seems to be a dud as in the pan it is this deep, cool-toned blue however when swatched and on the eyes it is much much more sheer.
The majority of the colours are warm tones which are obviously popular and will suit most people and the shades range means this palette will be suitable for fair skinned and deeper skinned people. Overall, it is a beautiful and pigmented palette and the range of colours means you can create a variety of looks from a simple, nude look to a sparkling, over the top eye.
I wouldn’t personally re-purchase as the colours aren’t the most appealing to me however I feel most people who purchase this will enjoy this palette very much!

my first ever eyeshadow palette!! (so my hopes weren’t too high lol) but I keep reaching back to this, the darker shades stay on my oily lids w/ a dollar store setting spray so I’m pleased. the fairer shades are chalky on me/don’t suit me at all, but I dont expect too much from a palette designed by Soph who’s very pale.

I used this with ease for most colors and for the price the pigment payoff is very good. The browns to me were a little patchy and hard to blend. The shimmers swatch nicely but on the eyes they are better applied with fingers or wet. Wet they are too intense for me. You can do so many intense, different looks with this and also some softer everyday looks. However, many of the colors are brighter and darker than I prefer and I didn’t use it much so I passed it on to my daughter. She loves it and has hit pan on many of the colors in just 3 months and she is not really into cheaper palettes. She has some other MUR palettes and was not pleased with some of them. I wasn’t either. Some of the colors in the others were really good then others were really bad, but this one was the best overall that I tried as far as pigment and blendability.
It has a nice mix of mattes and shimmers and a wide selection of transition shades with some that are nice for brows. When ULTA has their buy one get one for 50% off, it’s definitely worth $7.50 even if you don’t use all of the colors. I would repurchase it just for the colors I liked in it. My favorite colors were peaches, pink champagne, iced coffee, cuppa tea, sparks fly, peaches, mixed berries. pug, cloudberry, strawberry sweets, festive flame and danger. Mug cake and rosewood I found patchy and hard to blend.

The variety of different colours is great, and the matte colours and so pigmented and blendes really well! But the shimmer shades are horrible… They do not work at all so I am quite disappointed with that..:/
