This is a $15 pot of tinted lip balm I got a while ago and forgot about, only to recently rediscover and totally fall in love with it. First off, the packaging: it’s ADORABLE. And I’m not that into packaging. It’s a sizeable white tin with screw top lid that has 5 cute-not-scary dinosaur heads on it (see pic). I know. Also, practically speaking, the tin is fully functioning, closes tightly, and is easy to use.
I have it in Spilled Wine (sheer mulberry wine), and it comes in 2 other shades: Beet Jam (sheer red) & Melony Peony (sheer lavender-pink). Spilled Wine is the darkest shade (looks nearly black-red in the container) and goes on fairly sheer, but it does deposit color on my pigmented lips for sure. They end up with a juicy, flattering & natural berry tint. There is a pleasant, not too chemically scent & flavor. (Test first if you’re sensitive.) It’s dewy rather than glossy. I haven’t tried the other shades.
The formula is A+ though. The texture is not waxy at all—it kind of has a cushiony feel that seems to help it adhere to lips. I wouldn’t say this balm stains lips or lasts a long time, BUT it lasts long ENOUGH for this type of product. Like I said, there is something about it that adheres comfortably to lips. It doesn’t just disappear into thin air! It’s moisturizing enough too. Easy to reapply. CUTE to reapply.
I definitely recommend this. I wear it alone most often but it looks great over stains and as a topper for fading lipstick. There is a good amount of product that I feel justifies the price tag. Where has this been all my life?! Oh yeah. My lipstick drawer*

Also, my daughter thinks this is the best thing since LOL dolls. It would make a cute gift for a young girl!
