I’ve been using this for a week and within days I could see results. Even, brighter skin. I wish it was a tad less greasy but it’s nothing I would take anlippienaway for. I apply in the mornings then put on my makeup. My skin feels moisturized. I will give it another few weeks and update this review if necessary.

The Black Opal brand is designed for women of color, but I have found this product works very well for me, even though I have very fair skin–I am Mac NW15 for reference.
I have some acne scarring and I’ve tried several different products to deal with it. I had one I was quite happy with, but it was discontinued. This product was recommended by Paula Begoun and was reasonably priced, so I thought I would give it a try.
The chief whitening ingredient is hydroquinone. The product is a white, creamy lotion that absorbs fairly well into the skin. It is a little too moisturizing for my combination skin, but I’m really happy with how well it has lightened my acne scars, so I can put up with that. I did have to use it for about a month before I got really noticeable results.
It’s packaged in a 2 oz. tube, so you get a good amount for the price ($10.95). I will definitely purchase this again.
